Well, seeing that World of Warcraft is getting paid per member monthly, they would of course be better due to their resources and funds.

As an avid WoW player. It's not nearly as grindy as Wynn, I'm super excited about the movie and about the Legion expansion. But I'll be rocking out in Gavel while I wait for it... Which I'm also excited about seeing. :p

Well,
Wynncraft is a game in-progress, they're still learning about game design and Gavel has taken a load of time to make (not to say it's lacking content, because (from the stream) we can see that there's a lot of stuff). There are still extra updates to come to add quests to the higher level 90 - 100 Area where the content is lacking (Grian has said that most players won't get there before the update, though, so don't fret!). Wynncraft is also completely free to play, and it runs on donations from it's players.

WoW is a large, more professionally made game that has been around for a long time and has a massive playerbase. They can afford to make large updates as they have constantly paying players, and so often have funding to take larger steps. As well as this, WoW is based on it's own, compared to Wynncraft where it has Minecraft to work off of.

 

The problem with Warcraft thought is that They make a huge map with lots of mechanics, but they lack content in lots of places, They always put expansion on the game but they don't add quest or extended story line.

 

Eh, in some places yes, but the expansion IS the extended story line.
