Will My Save Data Transfer Automatically If I Change My Name?

I plan on changing my ign (in game name) so, and i was wondering that if i do, will my data still be sent to my new name, or will it be attached to my old name??

Since players now have UUID, usernames are basically display names given to the player's data.

So yes, everything will stay the same.
