Why...

This is so frustrating. "This" meaning the Royal Trails quest. Specifically the Flight section. I have only just got back on Wynncraft after a few months break because i have had nothing to do. Well i did have one quest, Royal Trails, which is why i have come back today and is also why i left before.

What had happened before that made me quit was that i had lost my mind trying to fly through the impossibly hard maze of clouds and it was getting really worried after my 50th try (no joke). Anyway, a few tries (or 100 xD) later the server restarted. I didn't think it was anything bad at all, until when i went to another world, and i glitched through the floor and died a slow painful death in the void. And guess where i respawned? Not back at the airship, not at Ahmsord, not in Rodoroc, not even in Gavel at all. In fact, i ended up with Mr. Caravan man near the RAGNI gates. Luckily for me i had a scroll back to Kandon-Beda so i was fine. But at the time i was pretty pissed and that is when i decided to quit.

When i came back on (now, a few months later), i teleported to Kandon-Beda and found my way to the bandit camp. I did the first challenge all over again until i managed to get to the flight task. I had another 20 or so tries at it until, guess what, the server restarted. I knew what was coming and soon i was in Lusuco (not at the caravan this time). But i didn't have that needed scroll to get back to Kandon-Beda. So here i am now, having to walk all the way back to an impossible task that will probably end up restarting anyways...

You see my dilemma, see you in another few months.

Don't worry, the flight section in that quest will be changed next update.

First of all, afaik the CT understands the current frustration of the community towards the Royal Trials flight section. This part of the quest will be remade for the upcoming 1.17 update, which should hopefully be released in the next few months (I'd like to say this year, but there is no way to be sure. The GMs are saying that something is making testing difficult, so we may have to wait longer than expected).

Second, the reason you respawned in the wrong location is due to Wynncraft's death system. When you die, you are teleported to the nearest city. Because a large portion of Royal Trials is located off of the main map, the nearest respawn point ends up being the Caravan Driver or Lusuco. A checkpoint system in certain quests would be nice, but I'm not sure if it will be added.

As someone who dislikes Royal Trials, I understand this experience. The flight section was infuriating for me. Right now you have two options: keep trying (which you seem to not want to do) or wait until 1.17. It's your choice.

LASTLY, use the text color "None" instead of "White". None makes it so that the text color is readable no matter what theme a user is using.

Thank you for replying, I personally thought that no one would. I am very grateful to hear that this will be fixed and other people are finding this hard and frustrating too. I am not so pleased to hear that the update might take months though xD.

 

Thats unfortunately how it is since with the current system creating quests takes a very long time (the current update is taking longer for other reasons though i think :o ) however things miiiiiight get sped up with the coderefactor that will come soonTM by a bit ;D

I am just really confused xD. Should i make the Text black or white? I try to select "None" but it doesn't seem to work!

 

select all the text and use "None", it works

 

then dont do that quest? that was easy

Hello! I can understand that the quest is very annoying and it will definitely be fixed when the next update rolls out but I believe that even if it doesn't come out, you should stay. The community and the other aspects of the server are all amazing so if you give it a chance, you may just stick around for longer ^-^
