Why Use Adamantite? - Need Pov Advice

I've heard so much about Adamantite and somehow picked up one pre-Gavel when i was Lev55 mage. Was saving it when i could finally wear it. But post Gavel, i saw it had all elemental def in the negatives. Dissapointed to say the least, as i am approaching its min. Level to wear it, but thinking it doesnt seem appealing. My mage build is 30 across elements except 5Earth & 49Wtr.

I'm asking if this item can be of value somehow to me - maybe a different, a different class or maybe i didnt see how some other stats it has could be useful with other supporting gear.

My pov is always if it's better, use it.

Not a very good one, but it works for me.
