Why is the new queue thing so long

I don't know how long its been in the game but when I tried to join the server I was told I was in position 1933 to join. what the hell is this. is the server just full as hell right now? am i insane?

 

Same here. I am in queue for over an hour now. It either resets every time it reaches zero or I am also insane.

 

I'm pretty positive that the higher ranks have some form of priority, my position keeps getting bigger despite other people clearly being behind me

 

I mean there's a few thousand people online right now and this update has been highly anticipated for awhile now. I don't know if the queue system works perfectly or not but it is necessary for the servers to run without crippling to lag (unlike hero beta).

Probably, I managed to completely bypass the queue. I don't know if all ranks get this much priority or not however

 

you must need to be a pretty high rank to get it cause I'm not feeling any priority over here.

 

I think champion rank gets to bypass queue, while every other rank has to wait for an indefinite amount of time.

 

The thing that gets me though is why was my position in the queue getting bigger? It should always be going down.
It's like if you are waiting in a line full of people, the number of people in front of you should be going down, to go up that means that someone must have gotten in front of the line.
That's why I thought that maybe the higher the rank the more priority you have

 

I was in queue for 2 hours, and then the server reset, now its down. Guess I'm not playing today.
