Why is music so laggy?

So whenever I use the wynncraft music, it's always so laggy. It comes in bursts, like I won't here it for a couple seconds and then it'll play all the notes at once, so it's pretty weird to play. I like the music and I would like to use it but it's annoying to not be able to play it. Is this just related to my general lag, or is there something specific?

Yeah I'm generally playing on a pretty crappy computer so lag is a familiar friend. I was just wondering if it was something other than lag

 

Lag probably, since when I spike above 300 ping the same thing happens.
