Why is it so easy to get lost in Wynncraft

In Canyon of the Lost I /killed twice and went to Thanos, a place I'd never been and then later, Kandon-Beda as a level 73 assassin.

I walk around Dernel Jungle for half an hour trying to find a corner so I can locate the Troubled Tribesman quest.

I'm always lost especially when I try to use the Wynncraft map. Please suggestions/help/call me an idiot/idk.

 

Do you use Wynntils? It seriously helps with navigation in Wynncraft and it also has hundreds of other QoL additions. It's also completely okay to use and not against wynncraft rules to use it.

Wynntils is good, but you could just use the official Wynncraft map (https://map.wynncraft.com)...
The only downside is that there is no flat map unlike Wynntils or Wynndata, it is tilted.

This is not torment - I am just attempting to assist a player by appending information to your post, i.e. quoting you.

 

It gets a little easier when you become more familiar with it, if that helps any.
If you’re good with coords, you can use those to find your way, and you can see coords on the map as well.

It's just confusing at first. Even with mods like Wynntills it's still a pain in areas like CoTL because of the fact that some paths overlap others. Eventually you'd get the hang of it tho

 

the sky islands are literal hell to navigate. not only do you have to worry about x and z but also y
