Why Does It Take So Long To Load In?

So I remember at one point, back when Gavel first came out, that when I joined one of the servers it'd take a minute or less to get to the class selection screen.

Now, I usually am stuck looking at the 'downloading terrain' screen for 2-4 minutes.

Is this only for me or is it happening to other people too?

(It is also very annoying when I finally load into the game and then get kicked because it thinks I'm flying, even though I'm just glitched on a block :/)

 

happend to me then i updraded my pc. now the longest its taken is 10 seconds and maybe you shud lower ur settings?

 

Happens to a lot of people :(
I get 200+ fps on any other server, maybe it has something to do with the amount of stuff is on the map and also the item and armor textures

 

It's because it's dumb

 

Maybe its because its loading in an entire world that processes 60 people in it as well as plugins and custom items....
