Why do the hive spear and wand do such low dmg compared to the others

care to explain?

 

Im pretty sure its just because, in general, wands and spears have lower base damage than other classes due to the class attributes.

 

better question, why are all the hive weapons awful
like oh you beat this sorcerer with enough power to unmake half the world and makes peons so powerful she could probably take over both provinces
how about you have an awful weapon that gets outclassed by some super cheap option

 

look at each class' base damage modifier and you should understand why
