Why Do Mythic Weapons Look So Mundane?

I don't know if anyone else noticed but mythic weapons look like regular unidentified weapons. As shown below, there's a picture of me with my mythic wand, Pure, but it looks like a regular stick. I mean I like the nostalgia but shouldn't it get at least a fancy-shmancy particle effect or something?

Aren't models also not based on the item level? I believe Pure is around level 60 so that might be why. I agree though that Mythic weapons should like ... mythic.

 

The Model should fit with the Weapon's element. If this is not the case, it might be a bug.

 

I think the warrior mythic, Apocalypse looked like a normal shovel too. But I could be wrong.

 

It should be a white stick b/c the desc says it was carved from a white rock.
