Why Are Archers The Only Class With Auto-attack?

When playing as archer you only have to hole down right click to attack. Why aren't other classes like this? Using fast weapons on other classes requires stupid amounts of clicking. I pretty much only play archer because of this.

Is there a reason for this? It feels pretty dumb to me.

 

I suggested a toggleable auto attack for other classes, it was hit with rude comments. Idk why, but people actually want you to spam click instead of hold things down. But also, the technical limitations of MC don't allow for holding left click detection (if I'm not mistaken). Archer was easy being that it was right click instead. Which is why I wonder if it's possible to implement an auto attack, but it swaps your left and right clicks. Might be some limitations there, but I think it might be possible.

 

I tried switching controls in-game, didn't work. I also tried binding attack to a letter key, which also didn't work. (Not that this is necessarily what you were saying)

But yeah, having to spam click on other classes is exceedingly annoying. I don't know why people gave you negative comments for your suggestion, that sounds awesome to me, lol.

probably because archer uses right click, other classes use left
