I've noticed two NPCs, one in Detlas, one in Nemract, who mention someone named Ragnar. I've also seen the Gavel expansion trailer from years ago and noticed Ragnar is in there, in once scene he even fights Bak'al. So I just wanna know, who is Ragnar? And what happened to him?

At this point I feel like Ragnar being important is a scrapped idea. Judging by his role in the trailer, it seemed like he might have taken center stage in a main storyline, but with Wynn now having the foundations of a main storyline that lacks him entirely, I think we might never see him outside of references. For all we know he's just some strong, but not legendary, general or something.

We do know that Ragnar's quest would have had in game cinematics, as those were in the trailer, and the trailer stated that in game cinematics would be added in the Gavel update, though I don't think those were added until the Corkus update. Maybe the reason why Ragnar's quest wasn't added at the time was because they couldn't get the in game cinematics to work?
