SPOILER Which Is Bigger? Corkus Or "dern"?

Ok, so after a little chat with @Snerp I got the idea to compare the size of the two landmasses. So what I did was use the online map:

Spoiler: Corkus

Length ~ 1330m
Width ~ 756m

Spoiler: "Dern"

Length ~ 877m
Width ~ 850m

Note: They might look a little off since I also accounted for depth, not just length and width.
Basically what I did, was to trace a line across the bottom of the border, which, naturally, would be paralel to it's axis, since it's a line of straight blocks. Knowing this, I could easily determine three points with which I could calculate the Length and Width of each area. Remember, these are just approximations, and may be slightly off.

Basically what I got was this (assuming that 1 block = 1 m):
Corkus is about 1005480 m^2, almost 1 km^2
"Dern" is about 745450 m^2, almost 0.75 km^2
Knowing this, the so called Dern is about 3/4 the size of Corkus. Also, Corkus seems to be a lot longer and thinner, whilst the unknown area is quite a bit more square.

So who knows, maybe it won't take a lot of time until release. In my opinion this area seems a little small for what could be Dern, but you never know!

I just think that you should consider that Dern isn't a province, the lore says that it is a "Far off dark land", so it doesn't have to be huge or something...

EDIT: And who knows what's inside that area?

 

It could also be just a part of dern or maybe a new area for the wynn province

Mmm, well once Dern comes out, it may be likely that the map will expand even more, revealing a dern that could be even the size of Gavel.. who knows

 

But the theme for Dern is corruption. You really can't do much with that to make a gavel-sized world for it.

No Dern is darkness, Wynn is corruption. As stated in Wynnexcevation D corruption and darkness are two different things.
