When Was The Eye Placed On Eldritch Outlook?

At first when I saw the cutscene for "silent expanse's secret", I thought the eye was placed right after bob's battle with Bak'al,
but then wouldn't that make the signs in WynnEx site D wrong, what were the olm hiding from if the eye wasn't even placed by then?

So I thought the eye was placed for a very long time now, maybe right after the events of "fate of the olm" or whatever caused the olm to go to the jungle, then why is Bak'al here, shouldn't he only exist after the Nether portal?

And if the Eye is placed after the Nether portal but before bob's battle, then why is Dern beast all angry and disappointed at Bak'al and stuff, isn't Bak'al supposedly unbeatable before bob came along? Why does the beast act like Bak'al just failed a task or something

Spoiler: spoilers for wynnex site d, light forest ultimate discovery, and realm of light

firstly, the signs in Wynnex Site D do not actually mean the eye, or anything else, was watching the olm. one of the last signs says:

• No... We've all gone mad... The shadows were never following us. It was all just... Lunacy

meaning that, rather than actually being chased by dern, the olm just went insane because of the crystals, so it's not actually related to the eye timeline

so actually, you were probably right about it being right after bob's battle. there's another bit of evidence that hints at the eye being placed quite recently - in the light forest ultimate discovery, the dern beast states "soon enough, the eye shall see all." it then goes on to infect orphion with the parasite - the same parasite that appears in RoL in 800 ap, and stays infecting orphion all the way through to the present. so, most likely, the eye was created in the past 200 years, which pretty neatly fits with bob's battle taking place in 886 ap.
