    So I was doing the quest "Fighting Species" and I took off my mask inside the camp so I would get a quick way out. For some reason I was sent all the way to the starting area. Here's a photo. 2015-12-23_15.59.01.png

    I took off my mask in the camp also. Except I was teleported away 20,000 blocks away into the development lands. I saw note blocks playing happy birthday for Salted. (PS: I ate your cake) I also saw a salted NPC saying we can overtake Grian. Then I saw a whale, and a frog that when you pressed his nose his eyes bulged out. I did /kill and then was teleported all the way to the starting area like you said.

    I also was able to behead the salted NPC. I didn't know if it was considered a vanilla item so I put it back. I really wanted my very own decapitated salted head though. :(
