What's Up With Adventure Armor?

So for those of you who don't know, there was a place called VIP Town that got removed in I believe the 1.12 update due to the EULA. There you could buy armor called adventure armor. After VIP Town got removed, the value of the armor skyrocketed because it was no longer available. Now, they have added adventure armor back in the Gavel Expansion.

Now I had a set of adventure armor from the old VIP Town (unfortunately, I lost it by accidentally deleting the storage account that had it). I thought that it had lost all its value because the armor was added back in the Gavel Expansion. However, I actually picked up some adventure armor as a mob drop, to find that it was not dyed blue, as my old adventure armor was.

Although I do not have my adventure armor any more, I am curious to find out how much it was worth. Since it was dyed, does that make it valuable? Also, I have heard rumors that it is being added back dyed, and mods don't want it sold for high prices anymore?

One more thing, I am new to the forums. Please tell me if I did anything wrong (posted this in the wrong place, made my post to long, etc). Thanks!
