What's The Class Meta?

I've played on this server since 2014 very on and off. My highest class is level 57 assassin, and I was wondering if mage is still the meta. I remember it being the meta like 2 years. Just asking because after all the major updates, I might wanna start fresh on a new class.

Is mage still the meta?

 

Mage’s heal was severely nerfed, but mage is still THE solo class. Mage has low health, though.

Appearantly every class is good other than warrior, if I understand correctly.

 

What class would be best for me as a solo player? I do like the range of the mage, but now I'm turned off because of the low health and the heal nerf.

Any class can solo. Mage lacks severly in the damage department, but it does have high survivability (only losing to warrior), archer has the highest dps, range, and mobility of any class but has the lowest defenses therefore making it the glassiest, assassin is a good mix of damage and survivability, but lacks in mobility and range, and warrior has the highest survivability of any class but lacks in dps compared to assassin/archer, as well as some range. Personally, I find assassin to be the best for soloing (mostly because stunlocking is ridiculously broken and assassin has the easiest time doing so), but it really depends on your play style and preferences.

Warrior is not bad. People get held up by the spell aspect of warrior but even in ordinary PvE spell warrior is fine if you know how to utilize your knockback correctly. On top of this, warrior has the easiest time surviving thanks to its 120% base defense on top of an additional 20% more once you get t3 scream, making it a lot easier to hit the 195% defense cap (you only need to hit 78 points into defense as warrior if you have t3 scream to hit the cap). The only point where that defense even becomes remotely not worthy noting is when you get very far into late game and everything starts dealing a load more elemental damage (but even then it can be helpful, since most mobs will still do at least some form of neutral damage).

 

If you want to solo, assassin is fine but its not very good because it relies on close range and to fight a boss you need a few healing potions because its easy to get hit. warrior is fine too because its tanky, but mage and archer are better if you want to solo without other people helping to heal you, because of their range. however, if you like close range more, definitely choose assassin or warrior or you might die easily if you dont know how to use long range.
