What's Dungeon Realms?

Is this the knockoff server that tried to copy Wynncraft during Cubedcon event?

It's either DR or Mythros.

 

DR, or dungeon realms, was the first minecraft MMORPG. It wasn't very good in many people's opinions, due to many issues with it from the UI, the the mobs/mob AI, the community Ect. They where eventually bought by another server, and I believe have now been shut down. I think the site is still up so you can check that out if you're interested. Though I'll warn you, the community HATES Wynn with a passion due to a bit of poking from our end, and a superiority complex from theirs.

 

Could have told me that earlier....

Checked out their server and it was alived. Said the word Wynncraft and got banned for advertising....

 

Sorry, didn't see this thread earlier! And sorry to here you got banned, though you aren't missing very much. I'm honestly surprised to see that their hate for us has grown that much after leaving them alone for a large part of the year.

 

They're jealous because they don't have two provinces

 

I tried to start on DungeonRealms, but if running sapping your mana bothers you here in WynnCraft, you wouldn't tolerate a minute there.

It's not starter-friendly at all, and the stamina system is obnoxious.
Running takes stamina. Attacking takes stamina. There are PvP areas everywhere with very poor distinction between PvP and non-PvP areas. No keepinventory. I haven't been on since it went down and I won't give it a second chance.

I guess if that's your cup of tea, okay, but it certainly isn't mine.

 

It's alright. They don't deserve anything better, but Wynncraft has earned a lot of competition now :(

 

Not really, DR is dieing down with only dedicated fans left, and no updates other than patches, and we don't even know if Mythros is going to work or if it can even be put in the same catagorie as Wynn right now with all the crazy stuff their doing.

 

I guess that just shows how bad DR was...

Anyway, I dislike it too. The main reason why is because there are no quests AT ALL. How do you even mess that up? Having quests defines an RPG...

 

Back in the old days, and then i mean the real old days, even before i started on wynn, there were no quests in wynncraft too.

Also, i think i'll try out dungeonrealms, just for shits and giggles. And im definitely going to ask the community what they think about wynncraft.
I've taken a look at the map and compared it to wynncraft, DR's map is so tiny, it's smaller than wynn's landmass, including ocean of DR's map.

 

I know, but it's just really weird why they haven't added them at all.
I also went on DR's server today, and constantly asked 'where Almuj was'. Results: I discovered the community over there is the least responsive and helpful community I've ever seen.

 

When you see the size of their map:

 

Just want to state the pros and cons of DR.
PROS:

• Actual Professions
• Good uptime
• Tells you how much Xp till the next level. EX: 120/1100
• A HearthStone that tps you to the main city
• Has a tutorial that tells you mostly everything about the game.
• Own Personal Realm
• Chest Shops

CONS:

• After a certain point it becomes pvp land.
• Not that big of a map
• No quests
• No spells/Unique classes
• Running decreases your stamina ALOT

Not bad not Good(or I just dont know):

• Community
• Staff
• Buildings

What a unique name. Totally not a place irl.

 

DR's landmass is a tiny bit smaller than the Dernel Jungle / Tundra area.

 

Oh yeah, when I tried DR, there where some higher leveled people in the town you start in (which is a maze btw if you try to wonder through it like I foolishly did) who I asked where I should head to start leveling up and they responded with something along the line of "F**K off noob" and then continued to insult me. Mind you I hadn't said a word until that point.

 

Dungeon realms is the server that had potential but sucked bad.

 

When i tried it out, nobody even seemed to notice i said anything.
And if you say Wynncraft in the chat there it gets cencored.

 

Or Chief's Glory, Crystalpeak Tower, Frozen North, Deadpeaks, The Infernal Abyss, Darkoak Forest, Fishing Village, The Bandit Trove and Skullneck. You don't even have to look at the map to know how it looks like...
