What Will Come First? Gavel Or 1.9?

To be honest we have no idea which will come first.

Gavel: Even if they finis gavel in a month, they will still have to do testing so no one knows when it will be done.
1.9: Is there any hints of when this will come?

 

After Gavel, you have to wait twenty plus years for Dern. (AKA Expansion)

 

They keep trying to maintain hype by keeping the release date nearby but pushing it forward constantly. I don't think gavel will come soon.

 

it depends really, the mojangsters have making 1.9 as a job, we dont. so often we take a few hours off everyday to play on some other servers, so 1.9 is my guess

dont wanna start an argument, but thats not the thing we are doing. grian thought it would come out in august, so he said so. then we got this amazing idea that would improve gavel so much, and we couldnt just forget about it, and we are doing it and its taking longer then expected, would be nice if you guys could stop being so negative all the time

I think Mojang is just stalking the building server and will just realease 1.9 the second gavel comes out just so people will complain that it doesnt have 1.9 features

I think wynncraft will come out sooner because mojang still seems to have a lot planned and I think gavel should be finished before the end of November but they could think of a new idea that would be sick so I don't really know, and I know that the build team and GMd have a lot to do as well

You know how people are when something big is coming so close yet so far. They tend to get a bit rowdy and you can't blame them for getting rowdy over something that they've been anticipating for some time.

Gavel is coming when it's worth it, if u notice Mojang seems to release an update than bug fixes...

Let Gavel come and support the Content team who are doing it.

 

1. golden aplles? Ha! More like pathetic apples!

2. When people say that clicking fast required no skill, they are right. But timing with a rod, a bow, and strafing required skills.

3. Thanks to the ability to push players you now can get push from a cliff. +1 bonus to those trolls

4. When you PVP in 1.9, there's a little bit of nothing time between the hits. Those holes of nothing can be filled by other players hitting the same enemy.
A team will hit 2x more then you!
Thanks Mojang, for making teams even harder.

5. Also, they took the rod. The rod is a PVP tool that requires a lot of skills. And now it's useless.

6. Fights are now longer. I tested it with my friend.


And I already know what you gonna say: " servers can disable those features"

While I agree with you on some points, I do think that the shields, which block 100% damage unless hit from behind, will kind of rebalance it, as well as the golden apples giving a larger absorption boost. I´m not going to continue nagging on you out of fear of a flame duel but I do just want to say...

Dear fucking god, nothing about this update pleases you.


1. This only affects UHC, which is very detrimental, but it makes it more intense by making everyone bumrush to the nether. Only horrid change by Mojang.

2. Bow's the only one here that takes skill. Holding A and/or D with W isn't that hard gdi and right clicking a rod before they hit you isn't that fucking hard either.

3. HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED 1.2.5? FUCKING HELL, THIS HAS NO EFFECT TO YOUR BELOVED PVP WHATSOEVER SMH. SURE, LET THOSE PLAYERS THAT WANT TO PUSH OTHERS PUSH THEM, LIKE THIS IS GONNA HELP UNBALANCED THIS "GODLY" PVP SYSTEM WE HAVE. IF YOU HATE IT, TURN ON LAN, TURN ON CHEATS AND DISABLE IT. IT'S A FUCKING VANILLA OPTION THAT CAN BE TOGGLED DAMNIT, ARGHHHHHHH!

4. Knockback, Flint and Steel, chances to escape, replace shield with Bow off-hand. It actually takes more than a 10-year old mind to do PvP now. It actually has a little bit of RTS factor in it.

5. You can reel players in now, that's what it used to be able to do in Beta 1.7. If you miss your shitty 10 frame hitstun go get some snowballs.

6. WHO. FUCKING. CARES. GROW SOME FUCKING PATIENCE THAT'S NEEDED IN OTHER PVP GAMES.


If you don't like wings, you've clearly not played Mario 64, one of the most controversial games of all time, mainly due to it's 3D modelling and roaming in a 3D world, being one of the first of it's kind along with Ocarina of Time. Many of us like this because it's a blast from the past for many of us. It's an old mechanic that could've been easily replaced, but it doesn't allow upwards flight for obvious balancing in Minecraft. It can be repaired with Leather and enchanted with Unbreaking III. Stop. Fucking. Complaining.

If the community outcry is strong enough, servers will fucking disable it, and roll with only the new items. Mojang has thought of alternatives incase people don't like the way those items are. If you're constantly bitching about something that can easily be disabled by some simple coding by devs, why do you keep bitching. Server owners want players on their server, so they'll listen to the community.
