Any Class What Is The Definition Of "rainbow Slap"

I recently made which I thought was the Ultimate Warrior Tank Build someone called it rainbow slap and I thought it wasn't anyways here is the build

Guardian isn't rainbow slap on a tank build because that is what guardian is meant to do be a tanky weapon. Using something like CATA would be rainbow slap because CATA is not meant to be tanky.

Can someone please tell me what rainbow slap is because I hear used a lot? Also is this build rainbow slap or not?

 

Imo this was right to be in questions, but it's kinda a gray area.

Rainbow-Slapping is making a build focused on rainbow items, and then putting a item that doesn't fit the armor (a non rainbow weapon in most cases). While yours isn't too inherently rainbowslappy, it very easily could be. @Gigavern would have a fit over double hive though.

 

who cares about it being a rainbow slap or not, the point is that its unoriginal as hell

Rainbow-Slapping is putting rainbow (+def to 4-5 elements and/or +dmg% to 4-5 elements) and a high damage weapon that doesn't really fit the +dmg/+def bonuses that you are applying to the build. In this case, you have clearly met the requirements I believe constitute rainbow slap, BUT I don't believe rainbow slap is the proper term to use when naming this build. Many items add defenses to multiple defenses (which is what you want in buildmaking). The problem is that these items are overused and flood the build making threads. Many build making connoisseurs that you will see lurking on the wynn class builds discord and here in the class builds section often avoid such bland and un-creative combos, one being overusing hive items +2xPrism, Prowess, and Diamond Fusion Necklace (DFN) then slapping a mythic onto it, as has been done here. Also why Pokextreme said that Gigavern would have a fit over this many Hive items, as would I (except Prowess + 1 Hive Armor).

Do you have any idea how stupid that argument is? Guardian is a TANK weapon, it's meant to be used with FIRE builds, NOT rainbow tank builds, smh

well the point of my thread wasn't to make an original build it was to make one of the tankiest builds in the game with still doing damage and having 114 defense.

the reason I used them is because it is the best option.... it is not my fault there are too few options concerning rainbow defense armor ( gravity- too many skills points, gemini- same thing)

look at its stats :-: it has elemental defense positive stats (except water) YES it is mostly used for fire builds but it also has that elemental defense stats creating a synergy with my weapon, armor, and accessories. Lets use spring for example, if I made a elemetal defense build out of that it would be rainbow slap because spring has no synergizing (not a word) stats with the rest of the armor.

 

You're missing the point of the weapon. It is for FIRE builds to increase their defenses in other elements, not for rainbow builds to slap a high damage weapon with +defenses onto as well.

Ambertortoise, Fermion, Determination, Corrupted Nii Shako, Libra, Aura of Element, Admiral, Changling's, Statue, Molten Greaves, Matryoshka Shell, Kratke, Dreamcloud, Mercurial, Spectrum, Morph-Steel, Boots of Blue Stone, Chained Pixels, Meteoric Aegis (that one looks good actually), Metal Body Suit, Legend Guard's Plate, Mighty Pants, Morph Iron, Restored Ancient Helmet, Touroto Trousers, Albedo, Ridge, Plague Mask, Helmet of Blue Stone, Entire "Relic" Set, Proto-Shield... Have I made my point yet?

I believe it has been done before, and used different items that what you chose. I couldn't find it though ;( I do still have the numbers for the defenses with powders added though:

I can make a build with better defenses and 114 defense but 0 dmg

Concerning your list of elemental tank items 80% of them are trash 15% don't fit into my build with the amount of skill points 3% I used (1/30~)

that doesn't mean they are not able to make a good elemental tank build. I am not trying to insult you. The build you made is fine, but I believe someone else has already made a more tanky build. You focusing on dmg+tanky is overused though. Hence we should call this type of build 'overused', not rainbow slap.

 

Isn't just more than 1 hive armor no supposed to be possible or easily reachable, not hive accessories + armor? Hive accessories have no requirements in skill points...

 

Its not about the sp... its about the simple fact that you should not* be able to use more than one voucher of every hive section per class

Rainbow slap is a term coined when I made this thread

The idea behind rainbow slap is when a person uses rainbow tank build and slap any weapons which totally doesn’t fit the theme on top of it and thinks it’s the best solution, which kills the creativity of build making

If your goal is to be a rainbow tank with a tank weapon, thus you made a rainbow tank build, it’s not a rainbow slap. But if someone is just making a rainbow tank with Spring or other weapons that isn’t aimed to be tanky, and use rainbow tank just for the sake of “op af high def immune and my mythic is also doing so much dmg” then that’s a rainbow slap

These are overused because they are way too good and people know it. These items @SilverMirror brings up in his post are all items I'd call (and think others would too) overused. I'd like to think that we can agree this is true, and should be changed by a limit to the Hive Master Items one can equip at a time, and ̶N̶E̶R̶F̶I̶N̶G̶ changing other overused items to fall in line with other same level items in terms of stats.
