What is the best mage build for ~42

    Ok so basically i want the best possible build for ~42 mage(i dont care if its spell or melle or whatever i just want dmg and a bit of hp as well) I dont rly care about the cost i only care about dmg and at least some survivability. I know like nothing about good setups so thats why im asking.

    i hate to be that guy but just use morph until you reach lv100.

    the basic principle is to run every morph piece you can, then take whatever gives you the most skill points in the empty slots. stick to legendary wands. the most important considerations are base damage (which roughly correlates with level), then whether it has 2+ powder slots, and then whether it has any useful ids like mana regen. aim for this build by lv45:

    assign skill points to wear all equipment, then hit the best intelligence threshold you can, and then send the rest into defense. it's okay to drop one or two thresholds for more defense if you're too glassy. further advice on skill point management

    there's two main reasons why we run morph:
    1. morph pieces stay on your build for the rest of the playthrough, which saves the hassle of finding replacements for every slot as you progress.
    2. none of the id rolls matter, so it's consistent no matter how unlucky/poor you are.
