These four pictures more or less signify four of the many 'big events' that happened after the new millennium. What do you think the next 'big event' will be? North Korea may have temporarily stepped down the radar due to the recent treaty on partial destruction of nuclear launch sites, but given the internal security uncertainty in America and the continued tensions in the Middle East, personally I'd say:

• A major shooting perpetrated by an extremely well-organised group of shooters, causing human casualties on a massive scale - surpassing the death toll caused by only one man in Las Vegas. Estimated deaths could be between 200 to 300, at a huge public space such as a major airport or huge public gathering.
• Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality mixed with AI will first dominate computer gaming, then it will move into other entertainment and then into business, industry and education.
  
• Stock market crash.
• Assassination of a major political figure, possibly the leader of one of the Permanent Five nations in the UN Security Council.

 

Honestly I have no idea. Although I do like history, I never give much thought to the future. There are so many things happening at once, and history often hinges on the tiniest of things.

 

Why do they all have to be bad things. Slaughtering furries is an event that could bring a positive change to the world

 

Honestly it could be literally anything. Humans are quite terrible at predicting the future.

For all we know it could be a meme causing world war three

 

Because then the news stations wouldn't be able to make as much $$$

 

Do you know how many people would watch furries being exterminated?

I'm honestly waiting for a massive earthquake to hit California. Simply due to it's location on the Ring of Fire and that it's next in line for one. Which is sad cause I hope to move to LA someday. ;-;

As someone from Arizona, I know your pain. And you do have a point. Granted the only loss of life is the firefighters for the most part, but the destruction is huge and really bad. And fire is hard to contain ;-;
