    Hello everyone, I am Moldavyte.

I have yet another build I present to you. Use a one-out-of-ten method and explain how you got that number! This time, it is a build that represents a house of a high class citizen's household in the old times. What do you think? 2017-11-29_16.37.02.png 2017-11-29_16.37.33.png 2017-11-29_16.37.40.png

It's actually really good! Although those stones on the outside could use some work. I really like the simple detailing but maybe the wall is a little too white?

9/10 I love it! The white really stands out and looks amazing and the tree is gorgeous. I agree with HalfCat that the stones could use some work, and maybe [PERFECTIONISM ALERT] add trap doors around the glowstone lamps inside. Also, try adding more types flowers outside and taking it easy on the grass.

I think its really great i just think that the roof height could be varied. Maybe the first layer of roof stays the same and then change the height of the second layer of roof.

Nice build! I like the outside detailing, I often try and add wooden slabs to the outside of my builds (when I do build) to add detail and break up the outside wall.

I wouldn't add trapdoor to the lamps, it would make moving around inside even harder. I think the way you made the lamps allows you to keep them bare.
    no don't

    slabspam =/= detail

The detail on the exterior walls right now is fine

Like all above, I very much like the house. However, there are a few ways to improve the gardenish stuff outside:
-Try to vary heights a bit, it looks quite flat across most of it.
-The path could look a bit more like a path. You could go the route of using dirt/coarse dirt/grass path/brown concrete powder to make it look like well-trodden dirt, or have a more formal gravel or stone path. The plain grass could definitely be improved.
-The cyan terracotta and the stone are a bit too much of a contrast to have mixed together like that. You could use andesite instead, as it's a very similar colour to stone but provides variation in texture, or gravel. The cyan could still work, if you use it well, as shadow or something.
-I can tell you went around the grassy areas with bonemeal, which doesn't always produce the most natural results. Organically grouped flowers can work, and you could also show that the grass in the shade of the tree gets less light. Generally I like to place all of my vegetation myself and avoid shortcuts like bonemeal.
-The waterfall looks like it comes out of nowhere. I know that's how it works in Minecraft, but it's not very realistic.
-You'd expect some greenery on the sides of the rocks, especially as there's water running down them. You can use mossy cobble/mossy walls, vines (contained with string) or just patches of dirt with crass/ferns/saplings on it. It might help to include more cobble in the design, if used well it can look good as rugged terrain and work well with the mossy variant.
-The spruce leaves around the house are quite dark and really stick out. It would probably help to use more darker plants in the garden, or to use a lighter kind of leaf (I like using birch).

Generally, my philosophy when doing more natural looking landscaping is laying down the main features and changes in elevation, and then think about how plants would grow in these environments. It's a very different type of building to architectural stuff, and you could do with more experience with it. This is a good start, though, well done.

    Looks nice!
Though adding some detail on the light lamsp such as trapdoor would be nice [my opinion]
And raising the terrain outside by changing it just from the superflat to some elevations would be nice
