Build What Do You Think Of This Build? 1

Hello everyone.

I am Moldavyte, a builder whose dreams are to be a good builder.

I am in need of an opinion! This build i created is a tower that consists of a blue energy crystal. What are your thoughts about it? Rate it using a one-out-of-ten method.

 

Criticisms:

1) The tower seems a bit squished, maybe make it taller
2) By the same merit, I would put the crystal a bit higher from the top
3) The square shape is nice, but maybe try something else? Although, I do like that it's not a generic circle
4) It could use some block variation, maybe mix in other types of stone brick



Now that that's out of the way...

Good Stuffs:

1) I like the hourglass type shape
2) I like how the stuffs come out of the corners, not the sides
3) I like the use of glass panes for the beam things, not just normal glass
4) The cobble wall detailing is nice, as are the little connection bits on the sides

 

Spyrohawk pretty much says every thing that I would, except that the birch is giving me nightmares =P. I love the crystal at the top, it's so pretty.

 

It has good depth and color. Even if im not a builder yet :(

Try adding floating glass panes to make it look like a particle effect floating around the crystal. Also you should probably add some darker tones to the crystal near the bottom so that the whole crystal thing isnt the same color

 

I like it, although it could do with being a little taller/making the crystal smaller so it looks less like the crystal is the same size as the tower. Apart from that, cool!

 

Pretty nice design, simple but effective, which I have to give you credit for since I have no idea how you actually pull that off. The only things I would add (well, I would add like 7 layers of decorations to the point that you couldn't tell what it originally was, but what I think you should add) is some more variations of brick blocks because just stone bricks looks kinda boring and weirdly enough sticks out more than the colour full stuff, but in a bad way (although that could be just me, take that with a grain of salt) and some more surroundings because of course everything looks better when it's not surrounded by just green.

I would give it a simple out of Grolan.
