Build What Do You Guys Think?

Im not a good builder, so I was practicing, what do you guys think?

 

its missing a lot of detail.
you kinda limited yourself with the 5x5 base, try going for a bigger, rounder base so you could carve more detail into it.

It feels a bit too small, try going for large. Don't feel afraid to make it larger then you feel it should be. By making it larger you can add more detail and give it a circular design. Its not too flat, so that's a plus but it is a bit too simple. Make a design into it using different blocks, however it needs to be bigger to fit this.

 

It's ok, but try adding more depth, blocks and add some patterns

 

Too square, try adding more shape and detail.

 

My building skill in a nutshell

 

Ah. I just figured out what it is. It's a clock tower. Here, I'll gladly give you some tips as well. Based on what your builds look like so far, I won't go so hard on you, but will give you some tips that will help no matter how good of a builder you'll come to be! When it comes to building, you can't think to hard about it. The only things you really need is a basic idea and structure of how your build is going to go, and build it from there. Think of things that would be breath taking to the eye. Add variety into there. And use blocks that are usually used for separate purposes, for a more aesthetic and creative outcome. Speaking of variety, be sure to add more then one type of block... but at the same time, you have to make it look natural. You know? Be sure to add more then one type of block on a wall for a more textured outcome, it will definitely show more. It will affect the way the person perceives the build aswell. When it comes to clocks as well, they are more particularly... rounded. Sure this could be something stylistic of your choice, but be sure to add stairs and slabs in an ordered manner for a more rounded look. And when it comes to the tower as a whole, be sure to add shape, and depth. Because that is what is definitely missing in this build. Never let anything be a flat surface. However, beware because sometimes overdoing decoration will affect the outcome in a negative way... it will look... messy. So overall, just be wise with where you go in a build, and just enjoy yourself when you do! Because I promise, it will definitely change the outcome.
