yesterday i started a thread with the question: what class is the most fun to play.
basically all 4 classes had people supporting it.
so i am now starting a poll. the one with the most votes i will most likely choose.

Here I am, going to try to steer you away from picking Mage, and towards Archer or Assassin.

The way I feel about Mage, it just isn't fun. Playing Mage simply isn't a challenge. Due to the incredible buffs that came with the gavel update, and the hugely damaging spells, it has become pretty overpowered. A lot of people say Archer is OP as well. While this may or may not be the case, I believe it is one of the most fun classes to play. You have so many options, of builds, elements, and play styles, with new ones being made by the community every day! On the other hand, 90% of mages use Water, stand back and spam meteors. Assassin is also great because it is a challenge. While people debate whether it needs a buff or whatnot, everyone agrees Assassin is the most difficult class to play. However, when you get used to it, the close-ranged fights that come with the class are exciting and always welcome to someone wanting a bit of fun with their Wynncraft experience.

Holy wall of text! I didn't think it was going to be that long. Oh well, hope this helped you decide!

thank you so much for this long message!!! because of you i now know the downsides of the mage class. so i will go for archer. because i want to have at least some moveability. and assassin needs a lot of mana so you cant run a lot. i also want to thank you that you take your time to help a new player. because 90 % of the people leave before they get to level 50 (i think) because of that i gave you a like, and a follow. because that is the least I could do back, for now. having the option to make customizable sets, (so you dont have to focus on only 1 element) is great. for now bye and i hope i will see you in game some time in the future. i will be starting playing after the new update, because i want to experience the new update in full. (i am going on a 2 week vacation next week so i dont have to wait long after, i hope...)

Archer and Warrior are the best starting classes. Assassins have a REALLY steep learning curve and Mages are really frail and can't take large amounts of burst damage.

burst damage is why a mage's crippling weakness is an archer.
either way, if you can deal 5000+ damage with a single, repeatable move, you can kill pretty much any mage. there just isn't time to cast heal. So while mage is definitely fun in some ways, at endgame you either get an op build or become a cleric - there's not much variation. I would recommend this class if you are a casual player who doesn't want to have too much trouble

Archer's crippling weakness is being slow. casting escape and always being on speed is paramount for an archer, and while further is better, spells like arrow storm require close range to hit effectively. Unlike mage, physically dodging enemies is something you're going to have to do. Being frail is a pretty ok trade for your crazy damage though - you just have to know how not to get hit. I would recommend this class if you are looking for a thrilling and fun time.

(I haven't played much with the next 2, so forgive me if i screw up here)

Assassin is definitely the hardest class to play, but as your defense is up to par and your attack is rather good the only problem is movement. Instead of ending them while screaming in their faces you have to use actual strategy - being able to plan and improvise your attacks on the spot is crucial to the playstyle of this class. As long as you play it right, you can even make a duel with a mage last longer than 30 seconds. I would not recommend it unless you have already hit endgame on another class and you are ready for a true challenge

Warrior is another very casual class. with good damage output and a stellar defense, this class is by far the easiest to play without being too op, and it will make duels fun - mage just always wins. there's not much else to say about this class, so I would highly recommend it for a casual new player who still wants a small challenge

aah the good old wall of text. I should start using spoiler boxes one of these days

    edit 1:
I recently - on my mage no less - was destroyed by an assassin who knows how to play right in less than 1 second. it isn't underpowered at all
