What are quests are near impossible without external sources?

100% the last one, so many steps of going to specific places of a region. Also Temple of Legends, lots of backtracking and seavale's location not being told to the player.

While Id say far from impossible, "desperate metal" has a really tough puzzle.

 

Having to spell out ‘lighthouse’ got you too? I was stuck on that for hours

 

I mean it’s labeled on the map when you scroll out and it’s kinda noticeable, I used to use seavale a lot even before my first Temple of Legends completion so I guess maybe I just got a head start idk

I do think a lot of them are easier with external resources, but with the exception of ??? and maybe one or two others, they all have the ability to be completed without external help, provided the person completing the quest reads and computes all the directions and has more than 2 working brain cells which I’d wager most wynn players cannot pull together, myself included

 

I remember doing hunter's calling without looking anything up, it was pretty fun actually! I did have to cave and look up the very last stage because "somewhere in detlas" is pretty vague (Keep in mind this was before there were quests in the barracks so I barely knew they existed since I hadn't randomly wandered in)

But yeah in terms of other quests, definitely ???. You likely wouldn't find a single one of the meteors, and the bit with grabbing random items from prior quest areas(and skiens) is pretty unintuitive.

If you talk to npcs when exploring a new place, selchar's citizens actually mention it a few times iirc. Also there's not too many places a reef could be other than the ocean

 

I've done ever quest expect ??? without external help, so, that's the only one.

 

House of Twain. Unless I missed some obvious hints, there isn’t really an indicator other than guesswork on how to get the Ghostly Cap, or throw the emeralds on the pressure plate. I think this was better in early Wynn when more quests had simpler mechanics like these but nowadays it feels very out of place.

 

Yeah now that I think about it that one gives like zero direction, it's hard to know what you need to do and where to go and all that

 

Yea I did it with a friend of mine who's a new player, and I remember it quite fondly, but as he was trying to figure out there was truly just no direction from the get-go and you had to make some pretty crazy leaps of logic. I had to look it up on the wiki and we did it together lol.

 

yeah.. and the follow up quest isn't much better tbh, no direction... (I mean in terms of content it's well-done and spoopy as hecc but again, hard to know what you need to do)

 

I still cannot find ghost ship in Ice Nations quest without wynncraft map, "go north" from which island to how much?? Always end up getting lost

 

The Last One for me would've been almost impossible without using a guide, ridiculous amount of stuff to do but worth it in the end.

 

??? easily, if you want to you can sink in several hours doing it, figuring stuff out, and ripping out your hair, or you can look it up and finish it in an hour
