Community Event Weird door found in Lutho Church (easter egg?)

Hey guys I found this weird thing so I wanted to share it with yall
Basically I was farming in the church grindspot in Lutho. I was kinda distracted since I was also playing my favourite game nier automata at the same time, but I heard a random noise that kinda sounded like magic (exp orbs and that stuff), followed by mechanic noises (I think the sound was coming minecraft, but like I said I was distracted). I thought it was some kind of door so I went looking around and I ended up behind the church, where I found this hole.


The image is kinda dark, but you can make out a hole with white blocks
I entered it and it teleported me, locking the entrance

The room looks kinda weird, it's entirely white for some reason, I thought it maybe had to do with the theme of light for some reason, since we were in Dern. There were also 3 normal skulls and 1 withered skull with a sign next to it. I'll show it later

For some reason it didn't let me use spells, and just said "you can't" in chat. This made it impossible to reach a button I had found

Anyways, there was also this pressure plate that I threw an emerald into, but I don't think it did anything

Finally here's the text near the withered skull, feels weird being there, but it probably makes sense with the overarching meaning of the room. There's also a weird hole near it, looks like an entrance. maybe it has to do with the button

At this point I was kinda weirded out because I didn't remember any quest or anything story-wise related to this church. Plus, I had already completed most quests in the game, including all the high level ones, so I found it weird the possibility that I might have not done the quest related to this.
In hindsight this probably looks much more like one of the secret discoveries, but at the time I just thought it might have to do with some quest.
My working theory was (and still is) that there might have been some kind of secret update done during the double xp weekend. Im pretty sure wouldn't be the first time an update was added but wasn't announced

Anyways, there was still one part left that I wanted to show you. There was this big hole, so naturally since I had nothing else to do, I jumped into it.

There was some kind of gate here, but it was locked. I thought about the previous button and pressure plate, but I couldnt reach the first and the second seemed to do nothing

I was pretty much stuck here in this hole, there was no other way to get out, so I just did /kill

After this I went back to the spot behind the church to see if the door was still open, and yeah, it was. Entering it did the exact same thing, nothing changed. I could even change servers and the door would still be there
I talked with a guy I know about this stuff and apparently he also had no idea what this was. I took him to the spot, but he said he didn't see any entrance. I made him walk into the exact spot the entrance was supposed to be, but nothing happened.
So, does anyone know what this thing is? It does feels like there's something behind that door, maybe I have to bring in a quest item from somewhere? Idk
If yall want some more screenshots I can just go back to the place and take them. That's what I actually did for the photo I took in f1
Anyways, Ill snoop around this place in the meanwhile. Please give me ideas on what to do. It might take a while but I'll keep you guys updated
