Weapon Skill Points

    Do skill points on weapons even apply? For example, when I have my deadeye bow (which has +65 dexterity) I don't see my dexterity number change in my compass. So I was just wondering if the skill points on weapons even work or if it's just glitched out.

    Weapon skill points do not affect gear requirements, but they do activate. You don't see them because you are not holding the weapon while in the compass.

    The point of weapon skill points is that while you hold the weapon it gives you the side affects of skill points. If a bow, for example, were to give you +5 intelligence, it would give you extra water damage and less mana would be used.
