I got really bored so I decided to do something else other than slamming posts with random images found off google and/or bullying YY into doing spider build and/or spamming joke reviews on my channel.
So I decide to make a guide about Uth Shrines like that has never been done before.
Stare into my literal pulsing brain of glowingness.

First, let's start with what and where Uth Shrines are, along with how to activate it.
For those who are unaware, Uth Shrines are locations where you can get Uth Runes by summoning and killing Uth Guardians. Uth Runes themselves can be used to craft dungeon keys for Corrupted Underworld Crypt, Corrupted Sandswept Tomb, and Corrupted Ice Barrows with their respective broken keys. It costs two to repair a key for Corrupted Underworld Crypt, three for Corrupted Sandswept Tomb, and four for Corrupted Ice Barrows. They can also be used in the powder exchange at Corkus to trade in one t5 powder with an Uth Rune for one t5 blank powder.
There are two Uth Shrines in the game. One is in Corkus, the other in Gavel. The one located in Corkus can be found inside the Avos village in the mountains. upload_2019-1-27_21-13-55.png
The Uth Shrine located in Gavel is in the Aldorei Town.
    upload_2019-1-27_21-16-39.png
In case it is hard to read the cords, it is at about ~ -240 x, 135 y, and -4480 z.

Depending on where you are may make it easier to access one or the other.
In order to activate Uth Shrines, you need a Golden Avia Feather. Golden Avia Birds drop these and can be found hovering around Corkus in the air. Golden Avia Feathers can also be found in loot chests.
    upload_2019-1-27_21-29-38.png
This is located just outside of the FF dungeon. As you can see, it flies quite above in the sky, so make sure to keep an eye out for it!

Typically, you will hear them before you see them, as they spam fire a shotgun of particles at you when they detect you. As an archer myself, it is fairly easy to kill them, as you can just shoot them out of the air and they have extremely low health. As warrior, you can usually just warscream it out of the air. As mage or assassin, you can typically climb up something nearby and use either your mobility spell (vanish/teleport) over to it or use a longer ranged spell (ice snake/smoke bomb) to hit it. If none of these work, the Golden Avia Bird can use its pull spell and launch you towards it. This will usually cause you to fly high above it, meaning you will have to properly time a spell or melee in order to hit it as you fall towards it. Even if you miss, reacting fast enough should prevent you from any fall damage you may take. Tbh, it makes for some pretty hilarious and dangerous scenarios!
Upon killing it, you have guaranteed chance to get at least one feather, but you have a possible chance to get two (2 or 4 with double loot bombs).
    upload_2019-1-27_21-35-42.png
You can then use these to activate the Uth Shrine by simply dropping one into the hopper located in either location!
Now that you have all the proper materials to do and get to the Uth Shrine, it's time to talk about what actually happens when you activate said shrine.
Upon activation, the Uth Shrine will seal the arena so you and nothing else inside can get out. It functions as a wave system, introducing new mobs with every wave. The Uth Guard itself comes on the third and final wave. The first wave lasts 20 seconds before spawning the second wave, and the second wave lasts 20 seconds before spawning in the third wave containing the guard. Once the guard spawns, a 50 second countdown will begin. If you manage to survive the 50 seconds, all mobs will (or should) disappear from the arena outside of the Uth Guard, as well as the arena being opened back up, leaving only you and the Uth Guard left to brawl it out.

As far as I am aware, there are a total of five different Uth Guardians. There is the Nepta, Zephra, Inferna, Alka, and Thrunda, each representing a specific element (Water, Air, Fire, Earth, and Thunder). This creates randomness in what you will be fighting against, so be prepared for anything until you have fought all of these! Upon killing any Uth Guardian, they appear to drop between 3-8 Uth Runes.
The Thrunda Uth Guardian represents the thunder element. The start of the wave system begins with roughly eight of these mobs, whose main spell appears to be heavy charge spamming. They can very easily swarm you and hurt you due to their mobility, so I highly advise against trying to avoid them or kill them as best as possible.
    upload_2019-1-27_21-46-51.png
The second wave consists of two mobs being spawned in the air. Luckily, their threat level is extremely low as they appear to just sit there and shoot fireballs down at you, making them quite easy to be avoided.
    upload_2019-1-27_21-49-19.png
The third and final wave spawns in the Thrunda Uth Guardian itself, using the signature thunder claw dagger weapon skin.
    upload_2019-1-27_21-51-27.png
He moves at a pretty decent speed, but the main threat about him is his reliance on pull spell. For pretty much the entire time you're fighting him, he is constantly pulling you towards him with his telekinesis powers in an attempt to hurt you. He also will occasionally use multi-hit, making him even more deadly when combined with his pull spell. Blind spells (spin attack/arrow shield/tp/escape) are very useful to combat this. Once the doors despawn, he isn't as much of a threat level without the minions charge spamming constantly, so I recommend trying to wait them out if possible. He has roughly 150k hp, but no defenses, so he isn't all that tanky either.
The Nepta Uth Guardian represents the water element. The first wave consists of 4 mobs who have a decently fast movement speed along with a slowness spell, making them overall annoying to deal with.
    upload_2019-1-27_22-2-13.png
The second wave spawns in the flying ranged mobs. However, you can briefly get a decently high damage output on them, as they spawn on the ground before flying upward into the sky. Still not that big of a threat, but since there's more of them (four if I counted correctly) the projectile spam might be more annoying to avoid.
    upload_2019-1-27_22-4-22.png
The final phase spawns in the Nepta Uth along with two other grounded ranged mobs. It wields the water weapon skin of spears, the trident. The ground units that spawn in seem to be healers of sorts, so taking them out is your top priority if you plan on fighting the Nepta Uth before everything despawns.
    upload_2019-1-27_22-6-45.png
The main spell he uses is teleport, constantly zooming around the arena and, at some points, effectively blinding you for extended periods of time. On top of this, he also appears to have pull spell (and maybe push). He does have about 150k hp as well, but he has defenses in three elements, making him pretty tanky regardless. Your main priority should be to try and avoid the teleport spam if possible until he goes on a momentary break of doing so.
The Zephra Uth Guardian represents the air element. The first wave starts out with five very fast moving, but relatively easy to kill, mobs. They also have multi-hit, so be wary of that as they sprint full force at you!
The next wave spawns in two flying mobs with burst fire, but are still relatively easy to dodge, along with 4-5 ground units that look like ghosts. The ghosts seem to have a heal bot ai, as they run over to other mobs and just sit there. I recommend trying to kill the before the boss spawns to avoid the possibility that may be there of them healing.
Lastly, the Zephra Uth Guardian will spawn in on the third wave. He is using the air dagger skin.
He is a very fast moving mob and has ~150k hp as well. His sheer speed can easily catch the player off guard when he spawns in, so be prepared for it! Similar to some of the other guardians, he has both teleport and pull. However, his deadliest spell is vanish, as due to his speed it is very easy to lose track of him if he goes invisible. There will be moments where you will just straight up lose where he is, so don't panic if you don't see him. In case you weren't already doing so, constantly be on the move, as he seems to run in a straight line at you before turning.
The Inferna Uth represents the fire element. The first wave starts out with two slow moving ground units and three flying ranged mobs. The ones flying above you spam flamethrower pretty much nonstop, so you should be constantly on the move to avoid this. The ground units appear to either have heal or a debuff, as when they use a spell blue particles show up. They also have may have meteor, but I am unsure and that is just a speculation.
The next wave spawns in four more flying ranged mobs with burst fire projectiles. These are still fairly easy to dodge due to their inaccurate shots. It also appears they have flamethrower, but it is hard to tell just by how much it's being spammed around the arena. They also might have heal spell due to the blue particles that can be seen sometimes after the particle affect for when an enemy uses a spell happens.
Finally, the Inferna Uth will spawn upon the final phase. He uses the fire dagger weapon skin.
He has roughly 200k hp, making him the tankiest in terms of hp (and probably the tankiest overall) of the Uth Guardians. He has meteor, charge, push, and flamethrower (and possibly pull), making him excel at close combat fighting. However, he does have sluggish movement speed, which can be used to your advantage to avoid him. Your best bet is to try and burst him down as fast as humanly possible or slowly chip away at his health to avoid taking damage.
Lastly, we have the Alka Uth, representing the earth element. The first wave spawns in with two relatively fast moving ground units. They have charge to aid them in catching up to you. Luckily, they do not have heavy charge and rely on melees to damage you.
The next wave spawns in four more ground units and four flying mobs. Similar to the ghosts of the Nepta Uth, the ground units appear to have a healbot ai, going directly under the flying mobs and staying there. They also have decently high anti-kb. The flying mobs do have arrow storm and fire projectiles at a moderate rate, but it should be fairly easy to dodge.
Finally, the Alka Uth spawns, using the earth spear skin, the hammer. He also spawns with a tanky ish mob called "Alka Protector". This will follow the Alka Uth around, most likely to use either debuffs or heal. If you burst him down fast enough, he doesn't even become an issue.
The Alka Uth seems to have the lowest hp of all the guardians, having only roughly 120k. However, he has quite high earth and fire defense, making him overall tankier than that of the Thrunda Uth Guardian. He has a fairly moderate movement speed, utilizing heavy charge and pull in an attempt to harm you. Surprisingly, he isn't that slow compared to other earth mobs, moving at a decent pace. Being the nature of the earth element, however, he is extremely heavy hitting with his melee attacks, so be cautious when he gets near you.
Seems like a lot to learn, right? Well, not entirely. There are a few tricks that work with pretty much any of the guardians.

-The Horse Riding Strategy: The undeniable "cheese" strategy for fighting them. Just hop on a horse, ride around the arena until all the mobs despawn outside of the guardian, and kill the guardian. On their own, the guards are much easier to fight than attempting to do so while everything else is alive.

-Movement Spell Spam 2.0: If you feel you're taking too much damage from attempting to use the horse riding strategy, just hop off it and start spamming around the arena with movement spells! It's less reliable due to mana in all, but it lets you have the freedom to react much better to a situation where you might take damage, as opposed to a horse which takes time to maneuver. This works especially well for high mana sustain assassins, as they can just constantly go back into vanish to completely avoid everything until the doors open.

-Bringing Pots: Even if you're a mage, I highly recommend bringing health pots. You probably won't need mana or skill pots, but feel free to bring those to if you feel you can't do it without them! If you feel like it, may as well bring any crafted items that will give you some buffs to!

-If you do plan on fighting the boss before the doors open, I highly recommend focusing firepower on ground enemies before the boss even spawns. Most of the time, the ranged mobs flying above you are never a major issue, and generally can be ignored most of the time as long as you are constantly on the move. However, it should be noted that it is very annoying to actually try and kill the flying mobs unless you are archer (and possibly warrior due to warscream).

-It is beneficial to fight in groups regardless, as the guardian can drop runes for multiple people if you they do enough damage and only requires the use of one feather for all the players (credit to @PikaLegend).

That's about it! I plan on making a video guide as well since I get that reading through lines of text isn't exactly interesting to everybody. However, education>exists and I have like 3 hours worth of homework (probably an overestimate but suggesting I have to apparently watch ~50 minutes of video notes by tomorrow tbfh it doesn't seem that far off) so that'll have to wait.
Please don't bully me okay thanks bye.

-The Uth Runes are one of the only two runes you can currently obtain in game, the other being the Nii Runes respectively.

-There are four "Uth" weapons, one for each class and of legendary rarity, all at level 93 that are direct references to the Uth Runes. These are Nepta Floodbringer (water wand), Zephra Shredder (air spear), Thrunda Ripsaw (thunder dagger), and Alka Cometflinger (earth bow). All of these are loot exclusive and can only be found in t3-t4 chests. They also all have a 110 sp req in their respective skill points related to their element.

    - ^Interestingly, the only element not represented as a weapon (as far as I'm aware) is the Inferna Uth. This is most likely because it would give one class an unequal amount of Uth weapons.

-There is a set you can obtain in game known as the Uth Set, which can be acquired by doing the three dungeons that require you to use said Uth Runes to craft keys. It focuses on the fire/air dual element. I did a joke review on it after playing it with it for only 2 hours and came to the conclusion that it was decent suggesting the fact that it is fire/air.

-There is, most likely, a 20% chance for any of the five Uth Guardians to appear. However, based purely on my statistics of doing it ten times in a row, the chances are as followed.
    • Inferna: 10%
    • Alka: 10%
    • Nepta: 30%
    • Zephra: 20%
    • Thrunda: 30%
-I recommend being at around level 85+ before attempting to do the Uth Shrine alone, and even at 90+ they can still give you quite a bit of trouble. However, the technical level you need to be at the very least is level 76, as this will give you access to the Aldorei Village where the Uth Shrine is. Even though Golden Avia Birds only spawn in Corkus, you can still use Golden Avia Feathers with characters who have yet to be there.

-As shown in the image of the feathers, the 1.18 update made it an ingredient as well, furthering Golden Avia Feather's usage. A Golden Avia Feather is also required to start the secret discovery known as "Necklace of a Thousand Storms".

-The Aldorei Town Uth Shrine seems to have a slightly larger arena than that of the one in the Avos Village. Unsure if this is 100% true or not.

-Uth Guardians seem to be unaffected by double loot last time I tried fighting one with double loot on, as I got an odd number of Uth Runes. However, this may have been changed.
Feel free to add, correct, or just give feedback in general in the comments below!

I’m going to have to disagree with this needing a guide, it’s basically just survive and kill the boss, it doesn’t need a strategy. The same strategies stated could be said for boss fights and other situations in the game. Also go do ur homework instead of making over explanatory guides noob shots

May want to include that it is beneficial to fight in groups (up to three) since the boss would then drop alot more uth runes despite only using one golden avia feather.
