Untradable Mob Drops

    Ok back to the topic. In this thread I'll talk about Untradable Mob Drops.

    What are Untradable Mob Drops ?
    Untradable Mob Drops are from SPECIFIC BOSSES from quests and dungeons and
    TOUGH MOBS from Tower of Ascension, The Qira Hive and from dungeons which is untradable(wat) once it is picked up by a player.
    Untradable Mob Drops are used to make progress on a quest and beating dungeons.

    What about them ?
    So many of you might not know, I always help people with bosses and dungeons.

    AND I JUST NOTICED A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM(?)

    You Might have noticed that when someone killed a mob and it drops an untradable item,
    if that player don't pick it up for a few seconds then other players can pick it up.

    BUT IT HAS BEEN CHANGED

    From now on, when someone killed a mob and it drops an untradable item, it can't be picked up by
    other players FOREVER. Even if that player tries to relog, the items will be disappeared immediately.

    This problem(?) has shocked me for a while and I decided to post this thread to know if this is a glitch,
    or a bug fix, or just to "nerf" boss fighting services.

    This is a new system. Whoever does at least 15% of the damage to the mob receives a drop. This stops low level/weak players from tagging along for free mob drops. If the player has not done at least 15% of the damage, they won't receive a drop, which I'm assuming is the issue you have.

    tl;dr get stronger, come back, kick boss ass

    ^ + This is a problem only once. You can still use your bank to transfer items to other classes.

    I'm a mage that prioritizes healing too and I do a frustrating amount of damage relative to my questing buttbuddies, so I totally get what you're saying. It does getting annoying. If you're a support mage though, I'm assuming that you quest or at least fight endgame bosses with a group of other players. Just do a few runs and let them cater to your damage which is what I usually end up doing.

    Also, remember that support mages are a marginal percentage of the playerbase. In the face of the big picture, this system works well to make the boss system more fair in my opinion. More often than not, it's preeeetty easy to do 15% of the damage.

    It's something I wanted to do since the gameplay update, but Broe talked me out of it, so I put the idea on standby. He made good points, not everyone has a build based around damage.

    So anyway, a few weeks ago, my SO finally reached the level to be able to complete The Temple of Legends. I saw her go through the quest for days and eventually she was finally ready to fight CoW.
    It was the most underwhelming thing I've ever seen. All the cool atmospheric cinematics we've done and all the challenges got ignored because she had some OP friends with her. They R-R-R'ed their way to the end and destroyed CoW in like 30 seconds. You know, the boss that was supposed to be one of the hardest in the game. So in the end, it felt very unrewarding to go through so much only to rekt the boss at the end. It didn't feel like she did it. I would have prefered to see her fail over and over again instead of having a shitty ending like that.

    So in the end, I made the choice to slightly hurt the experience of our level 100s peeps in order to improve the experience for those doing it the legit way. Now, not everyone might agree it's the right choice and for sure I'd like to do something that works for everyone on the long term, but for now that's what it is. Funny thing, the fact that you guys could pick up untradable items after 20sec was a bug that we just overlooked at first and probably took way too long to fix.

    Assassins are now amazing at carrying people through quests like ToL and Reincarnation, because of the stun ability from spin attack <3 You can just let the person attack the boss and just keep stunning it :D

    This change is basically forcing us to focus our builds on damage, specifically neutral damage, in order to play the game and beat the later bosses. Not only is this making people not want to help each other and interect even more than before, but it's also preventing us from making unique playstyles that aren't 90% damage based. Honestly, you expect people to team up with weird and quirky builds like they did before, now that the game doesn't encourage creativity and teamwork??
