Community Event [ended] (unofficial) Wynncon 2020 Stress Test

THE STRESS TEST
Well folks, Wynncon is finally ready. After nearly 10 months of work, the biggest fan made event in Wynncraft history is ready to be play tested. As of a few days ago our generous host, @yosteric5, has graciously purchased a $200 upgrade to our server. One of Wynncon's biggest problems has always been lag, so we've finally decided to put an end to this problem.

In addition, all our code, builds, and CMD artistry has been implemented, which means that really the only thing left to do it test the server's limits, and what better way to do that than with a stress test!

This weekend (Jan 18-19), the Wynncon server will be turning off the whitelist, and everyone who wants to join will be able to. The point of the test is to see what our server is capable of, so everyone has permission to go absolutely crazy. Don't forget to show up and contribute to the madness!

All the information you need will also be posted on our discord (timing for event will be released on discord server, linked below), so if you're planning on attending the event or at least staying updated, make sure to join our server and mess around with more than 500 players!

This stress test is basically the last thing that needs to happen before we can actually host the event, so we need as many people as possible. As soon as the test is over it shouldn't be more than 2 weeks before the event can take place. At that point, Wynncon will have been a success!

It's been a long 10 months that this project has been in the incubator. There have been hundreds of contributors, each shaping Wynncon into a more perfect creation, however our biggest contributors have been you guys, the supporters (by far)! Without your love and support and donations, Wynncon probably wouldn't have been able to happen at all, and I think it's a testament to the stability and camaraderie of this community. The fact that an event like this meant only to celebrate the game we love has received this much support is truly heart-warming. You guys absolutely rock.
