For the quest "lava springs", I collected 2 of the evidence and struggled to find the third. After some frustration, I saw and looted a loot chest, and to make room for some of its contents, I accidentally switching the evidence out of my inventory. This deleted the items and I have been unable to re-acquire them since. Anybody know how to fix this?

I don't know if you need to actually have the items. The quest tracks how many you have found a different way. Try finding the third and see if it's actually a soft lock.

I did get all three considering I can't re-acquire them by killing the corrupted items.

My real question is now 'How many people intentionally soft lock themselves?'
