Toxoplasmosis Use

Hi,

Is the relik Toxoplasmosis only useful in PvP? I tried to make a poison build on wynndata and the DPS is low, abhorrently low. Is it completely useless in PvE?

It might be usable in a poison build with necrosis + uranium aegis + other stuff. I don't know a lot about building, but poison builds aren't usually too good since there are a lot of other types of builds (tierstack, cancelstack, spellspam) that do higher consistent dps. The reason it's used a lot in pvp is because poison hits through def and agi and is pretty much a guaranteed kill.

Maybe one good thing about toxo is that all mobs in the totem's radius get poisoned, so even though your dps is low, it will have a big aoe and be very consistent in terms of dps. Honestly, though, it's not worth it.

 

Courage and curse powder specials boost toxo's dps by a significant amount, making you able to deal a pretty insane amount of damage consistently. With a 13k poison toxo and courage active you can already deal nearly 19.6k damage in a single poison tick, with curse that would be almost 24.3k but curse requires you to get close to an enemy to activate it so I prefer using courage. Toxo's playstyle in PvE is pretty defensive and mostly focused on charging your powder special while avoiding hits, I actually made a video of me soloing LI with toxo, maybe that will give you a better idea of how it's actually not that bad.

The build I'm using here is pretty much a full PvP build but sometimes I switch the leggings for a bit of extra poison damage

 

I’ve used a poison build of one of my shamans at lvl 90+ and it’s been really good, except for boss battles. Everything I’m an Ben made a lot easier with poison (ESPECIALLY guild wars) but if you play on doing LI, it won’t really work.
