In this series I will be ranking my favorite and least favorite quests. I will start off with the early game quests being 1-20, then eventually we'll work our way up to 80-103. This was originally going to be a Top 5, but because this quest range is extremely small compared to others, and most of the quests here are honestly pretty mediocre, I'm narrowing it down to Top 3 best and worst, let's get started.

    3 Worst. Enzan's Brother

Don't get me wrong, I know exactly what this quest wants to do, encourage exploration and show the basics of quests without making things too complicated. However, the simplicity of the quest is also why it fails. I don't really expect there to be that much lore early on, but the characters just aren't memorable at all here.

    3 Best. Arachnid's Ascent
Remember how I mentioned how some of the quests are kind of mediocre earlier. Just because this is the third best doesn't mean it's that good, it's only really barely above average. However the reason I'd put it higher than some other quests is because although it is kind of wasted, you get to go up Mount Wynn here, and in all honesty, it's kind of cool. It is honestly just a fetch quest, but I like it anyway.

    2 Worst. Potion Making
This quest isn't good. All it has going for it is that it has a boss which isn't even that memorable. Also the grinding for this is so annoying. Not as annoying as Mushroom Man, but at least that quest was intended to be a joke. This quest is annoying, unoriginal, and has no memorability to it, especially when the NPC says after this "Never speak of this again, stranger."

2 Best. The Sewers of Ragni
Yes I know it's another dungeon quest and I may or may not have bias towards those, I can't really tell, but this quest's lore is pretty decent. Even though Witherhead is pretty bland, the quest itself is actually rather fun. I usually enjoy quests that involve exploration as long as the exploration isn't tedious. This quest has pretty surprising amount of lore for a Level 5 Quest, and that's why I like it.

Before we finish off, I'd like to give a shout out to two quick honorable mentions. These quests I was so close to ranking, and I really enjoyed them, but unfortunately they weren't as fun to put at the top spot.

The two honorable mentions go to King's Recruit and Creeper Infiltration.

    1 Worst. Cook Assistant
I admit it, it was pretty hard to pick the "worst quest" for this list, because while Potion Making is a lot more annoying to grind, at least it has an okay-ish early game chestplate and a pretty good low level crafting ingredient. This on the other hand has absolutely nothing going for it. It does give a "reward" but at what cost? All you have to do for this quest is simply fetch him some items, all at the same location, with no lore, nothing. I'm so glad that quests like Poisoning the Pest and Infested Plants got replaced to not be as close to this spot (even though they're still average). I know that this is a very old quest, but an early level quest could be decent even if it doesn't have that much lore, just make it interesting and I'll like it.

    1 Best. Deja Vu
This is by far my favorite quest of the low level range. It's action packed, has a lot of lore, and is just overall so fun to play. I could maybe even consider this as being close to if not in my Top 25 Quests in the game period. It does have some issues, like it feels a little bit shorter than it needs to be, and it does have a few plot holes. However overall, the good outweighs the bad just because of how fun it is to play. So glad this replaced the old fetch quest Suspended Flowers.

That was my rankings, tune in next Monday for my rankings of Top 5 Level 21-40 Quests, and as always, reply to this thread with some of your own rankings!

Cook Assistant is pretty bad mainly because you just join the game and you got to find ingredients you don't know how to get in places you have never been.

Exactly, it asks you too much when you start, and although it's not as annoying as other quests (*cough* Canyon Guides) it's still pretty bad.

I think Elemental Exercise should be included on the worst list, maybe at #3. Not only is the quest not fun, it fails at what it was intended to be: a tutorial. It doesn't actually explain ANYTHING about elements, powders, or skill points. It doesn't explain type matchups (thunder beats water, water beats fire, fire beats air, air beats earth, and earth beats thunder). In fact, it misleads the player in thinking that fire always beats earth (like the root monsters), but this is only sometimes true. In theory, air should beat earth, but this is an exception because fire burns plants.

There's a really simple way to fix this too: Why not keep the cave idea, but instead of giving the player a pure fire weapon, give the player a rainbow weapon and fill the cave with monsters of all elements? Most monsters would follow the typical element matchups, but they could also keep the root monsters to show that there are exceptions to the rule. That way, the player would know about all the type matchups instead of the one pitiful example the quest currently provides.

    Worst Quests
    3. Potion Making
This quest is basically every mid-gavel quest ever. Gather items, kill strong but still easy as pie boss. Terrible.

    2. Elemental Exercise
This quest is so boring and poorly designed. Plus, it fails at even teaching the player about elemnts. It just says "oH sOMe MoBS haVE elEmenTal wEakNessEs and dEFenSEs" when any idiot can come along and know that. It's super easy to make this quest good too. It doesn't tell you about powders, how skill points integerate themselves into elements and more. It's trash.

    1. Cook Assistant
A taste of a fetch quest. Boring, long-winded and the reward is decent but still terrible.

    Best Quests
    3. Tunnel Trouble
While not the most well-designed quest nor the most epic nor the most story-centered, this quest holds a special place in my heart as being one of my favourite quests. It's super creative and interesting, and gives a taste to new players to some of the more epic quests later on in the game. The sneaking part was fun and not too difficult, and my mind blew when the cows ate through the stone to open the tunnel. Not to mention it gives access to a fast travel that makes Nivla Forest irrelevant, and that's always a plus.

    2. King's Recruit
I'm sure that 99% of you when starting a new class after your main just /skiptutorial'd this quest. But it's super well-designed and seeing many youtubers doing this quest, they had a blast, and I had a blast too. The quest (unlike elemental exercise) actually teaches you the fundamentals of the game in an engaging manner, and isn't too long or short. Long enough that it feels like an adventure, but short enough that it doesn't become boring. First impressions are important, and this is a damn brilliant quest to start off with.

    1. Deja Vu
I have to agree with you, this quest is brilliant. The design is great and the lore and story is fun. It's super fun to save this guy by doing all sorts of stuff, and having to be quick or else he'd die. Time Valley is the second best place in Wynncraft (behind Ruined Olmic City) in my opinion, and this quest fits in so well. Far better than the quest it replaced. Good job CT.

In fact this quest is probably top 10 on my list of fav quests, behind AHC, Order of the Grook, Misadventure on the Sea, A Journey Beyond/Further, Wynnexcavation site D, upcoming Hero of Gavel and Beyond the Grave.

Imo Sewers of Ragni is better.
In King's Recruit you are: forced to go one way with no exploration, tought about professions which is a bad idea necause many people do unnecessary grind because of it, fighting 2 weak mobs

    I agree with worst quests
    Here are my fav quests
    3. The Sewers of Ragni/Tunnel Trouble (really enjoyable imo)
    2. Deja Vu (probably would be 1st but Im a little biased because I didnt know how to pick up his shovel and I wasted like 15 minutes)

    1. King's Recruit

When I joined Wynncraft for the 1st time I wasnt excepting anything amazing
And then I did King's Recruit with awesome map, unique mechanics, custom items, soundtrack, moving NPC's and blocks
It was amazing and it brings me the best memories from lvls 1-20

    Worst Quests
    #3 Underwater.
(Why hadn't anyone mention this yet? It is just a two-staged cook assistant to me)

    #2 King's Recruit.
(To be honest, I am cool with this quest because of gameplay. But in the other hand it is terrible - It forces you to do professions, it limits your exploration of the map, some of the features isn't even well taught etc etc.
They should give you an oak wood weapon at first, and have Aledar/Tasim say something like "You could use those tools to get those materials to craft weapons, but it isn't a must" while keeping the crafting/resource nodes in the tutorial area.
And even with professions, they didn't mention that 2-3 star materials exists and you get more durability with it as a crafting materials. Also where is powders? Item IDs?
Asking you to cast a spell to break the rock isn't that logical either, since you can't do that in game. Instead they should make a stronger mob in the cave and ask player to cast a spell to fight with it.)

    #1 Elemental Exercise.
(EXCUSE ME? FIRE BEATS EARTH? uhh yes in real life it makes sense, but this is wynncraft and they really should take reference from what they made for late game. In wynncraft, it is air who beats earth. I know that there is an exception but if you guys include such exception in a large portion of the quest, it isn't right.
Also I feel that the elemental weakness was overexaggerated in this quest. I know there still are mobs like Shade of Theorick (i forgot what is the name of third miniboss of IB) but pretty much 90% of the mobs which has elemental weakness doesn't really take a lot of extra damage. Same thing applies to elemental defense.
This is way worse than king's recruit because it misleads and overexaggerates stuff, while king's recruit could actually teach people stuff even though it's kinda messed up)

    Best quests
    #3 Sewers of Ragni
(This gives you the feeling of how running a dungeon be like - at least for parkour and minibosses. And at least I feel that it is more challenging other than fetching stuff)

    #2 Tunnel Trouble
(Stealth part and survival part and fast travel... Yes Yes Yes Yes)

    #1 Deja Vu
(This quest actually explains how dangerous time valley actually is. You did something to alter the past to save someone who should have died now and learnt a lesson - never mess with time itself. Great job CT for making this a beautiful quest and built such a great place.
Familiar essence also smells good btw)

Sure, the impression is good, but if you look from the perspective on a experience player you see why is it so bad. Same with Elemental Exercise. Not-that-bad when you do it first, terribly terrible when you are experienced

That level 10 elemental quest is the worst as it gives players the idea that elemental defences matter.

    3rd Worst

Underwater - you get a cool helmet and that's it. Spend all the time running after monsters and then taking a boring swim in a lake.

    2nd Worst

Deja Vu - I was honestly surprised to see so many people put this one as their favourite, did we do the same frustrating quest? You have to get all the way to time valley firstly from Detlas, which is a bit of a treck with nothing much of interest to look at and then talk to a bunch of people including a super long and boring dialogue from Asher and then do an incredibly annoying timed task where you have to hit a load of clunky mechanics to complete it, took me a few times and wasn't fun. And no, I don't care at all about the lore in this particular quest

    1st Worst

Poisoning the pest - Good God I hate this quest! I would go even further and say it is the single worst quest in the game, a terrible cutscene, clunky movements to poison the water, no fighting and no decent reward. The old version of this quest was a trillion times better.

    3rd Best

Tunnel trouble - Really enjoyed this one, had some good comedic moments with the cows and some fun fighting, it's quite short as well with decently written dialogue and nothing that slows the pacing down too much.

    2nd Best

Grave digger - Had a nice end fight and some funny moments in the middle (Druckish springs to mind) and you get to walk around the Nemract area for the first time, quite jolly.

    1st Best

The sewers of Ragini - Now this is how you should remake a quest, a bit of story, a bit of action and one of those new timed tasks that isn't terrible. You also get access to the skeleton dungeon at the end of it, which is a worthwhile reward

I think we love it because:
    - finally a good quest fir an interesting area
    - it really fits into the area
    - mechanics are interesting, actually making you do something
    - good dialogue

You know, you can go from Ragni to make it shorter, right? If you go through Pigman Ravines it is even shorter

Respectfully I disagree, but I can't remember if the quest before was worse or better. It may have been worse

Yeah it does, but you don't get to do anything of interest there. Just a silly timed task, no fightng parkour or puzzles etc

Too clunky in my opinion, maybe it's been polished since release but I wouldn't want to see

Bit amateurish and overly Americanised / modernised imo

I didn't know that! But now I do remember a clearing at the end of the tunnels that I never explored, thanks for telling me

fetch. at least the reward is cool.
    2. King's Recruit
    haha misleading profs
    1. Elemental Exercise
more misleading stuff except that it isn't even lowkey fun-ish anymore

    3 best:
    3. Sewers of Ragni
it's an alright quest that introduces the first "villain" character in a mysterious way. i also liked the ending.
    2. Tunnel Trouble
pretty fun quest with a good moving npc stealth part
    1. Deja Vu
i love the concept of timeloops, so this quest instantly got into my favorites. very good.

Before it was "go to Detlas, go to TV, go get some flowers, return to TV, go to Detlas"

I think now it depends on individual's opinion, althought it could propably be improved. For me it is enough though.

Not sure what you mean, for me it works perfectly.

Again, I guess it depends on the individual.
