I'm not sure if this is the right forum to put this in (if it isn't let me know), but I'm giving it a shot. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the best at combat in videogames, and I've been trying to get through the Tempo Town Trouble quest. So far, it's not going well.

I've found guides on leveling, and on PVP in the game in general, but I'm in need of more specific advice. Are there any mobs or areas or dungeons I could practice in that would prepare me for this quest in particular? Are there any tricks I can learn for dealing with fast paced combat or multiple enemies at once?
If it helps to get even more specific, I'm an Assassin with the Acrobat archetype. Are there any spells I should get more used to using than the others, for this quest?

Any and all tips/feedback/advice/comments etc. are welcome. I'm just trying to get used to and improve at combat.

If I die any more while doing this quest I'll start losing important items, lmao.

just spin attack a lot i guess. You chose to pick one of the hardest archetypes to play lol, although idk how hard it is at lvl 25.
anyway pro tip: dont try to get into any fights if you have 6 or less soul points. Just wait until they recharge before doing anything dangerous

So, I tested the level 25 ability tree on WynnBuilder, and you should either have Lacerate or Righting Reflex unlocked. I main acrobat, and I’d say I’m pretty experienced with it, so here are some combat tips with those abilities in mind.

For righting reflex: Holding shift will let you glide down slowly in the air, so you can do various tricks with your other spells.
    • Dash upwards, above the enemy, and use Righting Reflex. While falling, use your main attack (dagger attack) or a spell to damage the enemy. Since you are in the air, you likely won’t get hit. Just be careful not to fall down on top of the enemy, as this can be fatal, and keep in mind that Righting Reflex has a 5 second maximum.
    • If you get low on health or mana, dash on to a ledge or high area that the opponent can’t get to. For example, there are some pillars around Time Valley, and you can try to dash up those. Once you are up there, spend some time drinking health potions and regaining mana. After you are recuperated, use Righting Reflex to glide down safely.
    • If you are low on mana, and there isn’t a safe spot you can reach, simply dash into the air and hold Righting Reflex. You will gain mana, even airborne, and most enemies will not be able to attack you.
    • Similarly to the last tip, Righting Reflex will give you enough time in the air to drink a potion or two. If you are low on health and can’t afford to stop attacking and be vulnerable, try this.
If you have Lacerate: Lacerate launches you forwards, deals three strikes, and then launches you upwards. At first, it may seem very awkward, but there are a lot of fun mechanics that you can use to your advantage.
    • After the three strikes of Lacerate, look up and use dash. When combined with the upward momentum of Lacerate, it will boost you very high in the air. The more you get the timing of dash lined up with Lacerate, the higher you go. Hope I explained that okay lol.
    • The same way you can go up with Lacerate and dash, you can also go forwards. Do the same thing you did with the first tip, except aim dash forwards. When done correctly, it will launch you forward at a high speed.
    • Similarly to Righting Reflex, you can use the techniques above to give yourself time to regain mana or drink a potion. Also, you can get to a safe spot much faster with Lacerate and dash combined.
    Some general tips:
Always bring health potions, and, if you need them, mana or elemental potions. They will help so unbelievably much.
As Je Hooft stated, don’t do anything too risky when you are below 6 Soul Points. It’s a bad system, but for now, we have to deal with it.

I hope this helps you, even like a week later, and I hope you’ve had some success with this quest after 9 days. Good luck! (also nice archetype pick)
