Timed Out While Downloading Wynnpack From Server

When I was trying to download the WynnPack from within the server, my Minecraft had stopped responding, and then moments later, I lost connection to the server due to being "timed out." What should I do?

 

I would recommend looking around the forums for a thread that teaches you how to download it, and go from there. I would do it myself, but I'm on a mobile device. And before somebody tells you that it's against the rules, it isn't. I've seen multiple posts to prove it. I've also had the problem, and just getting the pack manually, and hitting esc instead of letting it attempt (and fail) to download works.

Well, I ended up copying the server resource pack file to my resource pack file. I tried to hit ESC before letting it attempt, it just started to download anyways, resulting in losing connection due to being timed out, ONCE AGAIN. It's frustrating.

Try completely disabling Wynncraft from being able to download resource packs. If you edit the settings that you put down for Wynncraft, there should be an option that says something, "Allow server to use reasorces pack." Change that from allow, to disabled. That should prevent Wynncraft from having permission to download the pack.

 

Howdy, once again. I was wondering if you had any separate downloads for the WynnPack. I had copied and extracted the server WynnPack to my resource packs file, and it had no sound, unfortunately. Now I'm looking for one WITH sound. I'm pretty much just disregarding that message saying I need the WynnPack or the game wouldn't make sense, cause' I'd pretty much have it already, right?

 

This may take a little work, but simply try searching the forums for the word "Wynnpack." I have seen multiple posts with a link to download it, not positive if any of them will fix your problem, but it's worth a shot.
Of course it's also possible that you just have sound disabled for Minecraft. In that case, raise the sound on your computer, adjust the ingame sound settings, or try hitting F3 + S on your keyboard. (If your textures turn weird after doing this you can hit F3 + T to reload textures) What F3 + S does is reload your sound engine, which may be the problem in the first place.
Anyhow, try these possible solutions, and if that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you.

 

Howdy. I guess it was a problem with my server resource pack, so I downloaded a separate Wynnpack. The MAIN difference was the name of the file. The file I had in my server resource packs was just 'legacy'. I downloaded a file with the name 'legacy_wynnpack' and now I can hear sound! Coincidentally, when I was ingame, I kept getting the message that I 'didn't have the resource pack'. Another coincidence to me is that I don't see the class selection menu automagically appear when I join a server. Is that supposed to happen or do I need to do something else before I'm good to go?

 

You may not see the class selection when you join because you have done the command /toggle autojoin. And about getting the message of not having the resource pack, it's not a bug. Wynncraft can't detect that you actually do have the Wynnpack on, as that you downloaded it manually. There is no way for to toggle those messages from appearing. Trust me, I had to download the Wynnpack myself, and it's very annoying.

 

I tried to 'undo' /toggle autojoin, but when I'm in the game world, it won't let me. For me, it's getting to a point where I'm about to literally get P.O'd and end up not playing Wynncraft at all. As a matter of fact, I can't even use ANY commands, regardless of any world I'm in.
