Tier 4+ Powder Specials?

So I heard that if you put 2 tier 4 powders in a weapon you can unlock its "special"
Do you have to put the same element?
Did I waste powders?
Wot does it do?

There are different specials for each element. Fire: Couage, Water: Curse, Thunder: Chain Lightning, Earth: Earth Quake, Air: Air Prison. Air prison entraps them in a prison of air for a certain amount of seconds depending on the tier powder. Courage gives a buff to you and another player you do it to. Earth Quake um... Boosts them up .5 blocks and does some damage. Chain lightning does a bolt of lightning at a mob and bounces between mobs. Curse makes you do double water(not sure if its other) damage on one enemy. Sneak + Right click to use it as Archer. Sneak + Left as other classes.

 

You cant put two different tier 4's on a weapon and have a special.
