Guide Thrundacrack Warrior Build

So I made a build that I think I'm going to use. I call it "anti-sanik". Here it is:

(quick question: is it okay that i took some of the images (shown below) from player markets without credit? I'd assume it is but I just want to make sure.)

SUGGESTIONS/CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK HIGHLY WELCOME (especially for boots or leggings)
This build will be all about melee dps. I don't know what other melee builds out there do but considering that alkatraz is super slow and does about the same dps as this build (and that alkatraz is earth-only) I think it's pretty good.

The weapon we will be using! (also why the heck is there water damage boost on this thing????)
With this super fast attack speed, we have about 2 attacks per second. This means that Thrundacrack really does 300 to 740 damage per second. Sadly, there is a big lack of items that increase thunder damage by a medium to large amount.

Helmet

This is for health regen and some melee damage bonus. It also slightly counters the spell damage debuffs I will mention later, so when you use spells you won't heal mobs (double negative damage). average 30 hpregen

Chestplate

Sweet sweet melee damage. RIP spell damage tho. (Note that I'm not sure how spell damage multipliers with attack speed works but maybe this could counter its own negative spell damage a bit?) Can be swapped out for something else.

Leggings

M O R E
I can't get my hands on an ingame pic but I believe that this also has -1 attack tier. Countered by chestplate of ineptitude. You could replace this with clock leggings.

Boots

Because otherwise we're gonna be a horrible glass cannon. We don't want that. But if you really do want to be a glass cannon, go ahead, use something else.

Accessories


If you're not aware, the 2 piece Jester Set bonus is +200 melee damage but -60 spell damage.

assuming melee damage= ((weapon)+(raw melee bonus))*(melee percent)
we do (380 - 410)*1.6=608 - 656 damage
OR
assuming melee damage= ((weapon)*(melee percent))+(raw melee bonus)
we do (144 - 192)+290=434 - 482 damage

Assuming thunder damage on weapon is average +10%:
66 - 275+608 - 656= 674 - 931
or
66 - 275+434 - 482=500 - 757

multiply by dps (2)
1348 - 1862
or
1000 - 1514

tl;dr
this build gives an average of 1348 - 1862 or 1000 - 1514 dps not including strength or dexterity damage boosts.
Player info:
+60% melee damage
+290 raw melee damage
around 18215 health
about +60 in all elemental defense
+5% health regen
+30 health regen
-145% walk speed
and some other debuffs that are not relevant
using thrundacrack, sequencer, chestplate of ineptitude, cinderchain, statue, jester ring, jester bracelet, brass knuckle, and royal shocking amulet

changelog:
-tfw you use 3 rings instead of using a bracelet and 2 rings
-removed tisaun's honor, "replaced" it with royal shocking amulet, boosting damage even further

well.. your walk speed is kinda sucks, you won't be able to move at all, you'll be a sitting duck
thats not how tanks work...

 

Mobility is pretty much nonexistent. I once tried out Statue and I couldn't move at all.

The only boots I'd suggest is Nether's Scar. No details I can try to explain, other than its thunder/fire type boots.

 

This isn't supposed to be a tank, but it's also not supposed to be a glass cannon. It's for damage. Statue is so you don't die in like one hit. I agree the mobility sucks though. Thanks for feedback.

They're good other than the fact that they would give negative health regen overall.
Honestly I'm considering using Bad Wolf for boots because of the hp regen and melee damage boost. But it'll take a massive toll on the total health and defense.

 

If the negative health regen is getting in the way, I'd suggest using Electrocharge Greaves with 2+ Tier Attack Speed, despite its health regen, and Leo for drastic health boost and health regen.

If you think it doesn't work, then use the Snail Boots instead. They're great on health regen and health boost, though it wouldn't do any effect on melee unlike Bad Wolf which are only great for XP boost at later levels.

I think you would benefit from using the pants from the thunder merchant in the hive.
They give you +20% thunder damage.

Cinderchain has a pretty big part in the melee damage. I'm kind of iffy with that. You DID remind me that thundrous step exists, though. I'll probably use that instead of statue. Thanks for the suggestion

 

Though my build for Thrundacrack isn't DPS based and might not help you much, I think I've got a moderately good one.
Asides from Thrundacrack, it uses Anima-Infused helmet, Boreal-Patterned-Aegis and Hephaestus-Forged Greaves (All three of which from the Hive master token merchants), and Wind Mimic boots. Also uses a Gonme's Ring, Raging wind (I'd rather use two raging winds, but I wouldn't have a second one with high enough +agility), Contrail and Bottled Thunderstorm (From the hive thunder merchant).
13560 HP, high defense in all elements, when using Thunrdacrack 119 dexterity, 63 agility, 33 intelligence, 33 defense and +82% walk speed.
Though it's more speedy-tanking based, the melee damage averages around 600, with charge dealing 4-7k damage and uppercut 9-13k usually. The build isn't really super specific for a certain attack pattern like pure melee or purely high damaged spells, but it's pretty balanced for a Thunrdacrack build overall

 

I would like to warn everyone that this build also has a minimum of 30 fps or it wouldn't work. (goddamn it computer)

once ur weapon is already super fast attack speed + tier attack speed will do nothing for it and thrunda is a spell spear not a melee one

 

I kinda disagree, I find Thrunda's pretty damn good for melee, though the spell is good, too.

 

but its not meant for melee you can be sure about that

Chestplate counters cinderchain which I believe has -1 attack speed so yeah.
Why does cancer exist then?
+attack speed has a spell damage multiplier and I'm pretty sure it goes beyond the attack speed.

none of warrior's spells do water damage, thrundacrack doesn't do water damage either, the damage boost only applies when you're holding it... etc.
If it wasn't meant for melee it wouldn't have neutral damage.

 

no super fast is the fastest one can hit / the most a weapon multiplier spell damage can go

 

other than responding by saying "any chestplate", what is a better one for melee damage excluding taurus?
