Art || Third Eye

Wooo this is something new I've been into. With my Flareling guide post I was directed to start making more WynnCraft themed things such as mobs and what not into drawings -- I thought on that a little and thought.. "what if I humanized armor and weapons?" So I got to work thinking on which one I should start with out of all the possibilities...

Thus came the Monk Goddess, Third Eye.

(Keep in mind I'm not being critical i just want to point this out)
The lore of Third Eye states that the helmet does not actually create an eye on your forehead, but rather is imbued with a sigil, or a painted emblem with magical powers. However, actual third eyes are very prominent in specific pagan religions, with a specific focus on Hinduism. Shiva, the third diety in the principal divine trinity, is commonly displayed with one. Because Shiva is the one responsible for destruction and regeneration (Bhrama is the force of creation and Vishnu is preservation) his third eye has the kind of power as stated in the lore. Also, the eye is depicted as being sideways instead of right side up, to represent a separate viewpoint on the world in his wisdom and knowledge, such as in this picture:

Wow that's extremely interesting! I myself am Wiccan but just getting into it. I've been paying attention to chakras and what not, but thanks for the lesson on the third eye!

 

Yeah, the "Third Eye" is just a sigil or symbol in the style of that kind of thing rather than an actual third eye, but hey, artistic interpretations and such are a thing and it still looks good
