Thesead Gate Won't Work?

I'm not sure if there's currently problems with it or I'm somehow being really, really dumb about this, but I can't manage to get through the gate that leads to Thesead. I did Marauder's Dues and he said I could use the gate, but when I go in and press the button, nothing seems to happen. I've rushed out and the gate doesn't open, no openings anywhere. Nothing. Its been maybe a day or two since I did the quest, I've been on and off in that time, so its clearly not a temporary thing solved by relogging or a server reset. I've had to resort to climbing the mountain and going over it whenever I want to get past. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a known issue that's already being worked on? Was this cut out and not stated properly in the game, so its working as intended for now and you're meant to find some other way for the time being? Can't manage to upload a gif for clarity.

Besides hopping over the gate there’s also a cave passage that will let you pass from CotL to Thesead. It’s hidden on CotL side by a waterfall. I’ll add the coordinates later (not online). There are some stone stairs that lead up to a cave on the left if you are heading to Air Bantisu Temple from Thanos. Don’t go into the cave, but jump into the waterfall. Swim up and there is the hidden cave. I’ll exit on the Thesead side. Also, to get back, just use a horse down the same path to the bridge and jump off (done this route plenty of times after dying to Qira) and you’ll be back in CotL.
