As you enjoy your level 40s, you may stumble upon a small town in the Ice canyon named Lusuco. Immediately upon entry, you'll notice that something is up. The people are all blue. What could be the cause of this? Are they Smurfs? Avatars? People made of pure ice? And why are the local golems different to the typical iron golem? Well, I have some theories about the town's oddities, starting with its residents:

The lore for Lusuco is a good start. It states:
''In even the harshest of cold, the people of Lusuco have stayed put and continued living here.''
This strongly implies that Lusuco and the ice canyon are even colder than Nesaak, but why? This was not the eye of Theorick's storm, not even close to it! Well, there is one major thing with the area; the colossal tower of ascension. This was probably not there when Theorick was around, because he lived in the ice canyon and would probably have done something about it. Plus, it cannot be seen in the Pottery Wheel cutscene. Thus, it is safe to assume that the tower was built after Theorick's demise. The tower was built to hold the crystal atop, which was likely a meteor since you yourself point out that the markings on the tower depict something falling from the sky. There is no crater nearby, and the tower is surrounded by huge ice spikes. What if the meteor created those spikes around its crater, and the tower was built directly upon the crater? We already know that the 4 WynnExcavation meteor crystals were known by names like ''sand crystal, water crystal, fire crystal, leaf crystal'' and possibly used these powers, so what if the crystal on the tower is like another crystal, an ice crystal? Maybe the reason the 4 main crystals are suitably coloured is because the Olm changed them to distinguish them? Plus, ''Death'' is insane like many other cosmic magicians, and looks somewhat dark. I remember seeing somewhere that he was actually a regular guy once but turned into a monster because of the crystal. Who else turned into a beast from elemental crystal energy? None other than Amadel! He goes from a corrupted beast to a horrid monstrosity of darkness from the crystals alone. Plus, ''Death'' has a full floor that is dedicated to creatures that are likely Dark, but for that he would have had to have captured them from the Silent Expanse. Maybe he just summoned them? I have theorised before that Alkevo is from the Toxic Wastes but he only resembles the area. I think the meteor atop the tower is actually an Ice Crystal which has made the area even colder than it was before. The fire crystal was able to create an entire volcano apparently, so this isn't unlikely. However, the people there seem to not mind. The people of nesaak always complain about the snow and seek revenge against Theorick (see Eppo) but the people in Lusuco are literally blue from the temperature and don't complain at all. So now for another theory.

The people there are seemingly fine with the temperature, so how? Well, maybe ''Death''once had good intentions. Maybe he himself was a Lusuco resident who hated the cold, so used his cool new meteor to grant his people some cold resistance. Even Amadel seemed to have good intentions at first, but then (possibly) mined into the Silent Expanse and worshipped the Eye for his own safety. A short theory, but it is the only way I think the people could possibly not mind the cold.

Finally, why do they have different golems? All over the map, you see Iron Golems made by Urelix, but not here. Well, this is all down to one person who lived in the area; Ohms. Ohms is a currently-unseen character who was the lover of Gale from the Hive and he lived in Lusuco. There is an area above the town where if you throw a potion at a random carpet a door will open into his lab, which is currently locked off. Here is his canon boss name:

Selvut has also stated that he is a golemancer and freelance scientist. Golemancer means somebody who can summon Golems at will like how a necromancer can resurrect people at will. The ice canyon has caves filled with frozen golems, likely a result of his experiments. It's pretty reasonable to think that he created some defenders for his village and that the people there never switched to Iron Golems because Ohms' golems were superior.

So there we go. I can't think of any other weird things in this town and I have reasonable theories for all of them.

Good theory, but are you sure the people of Lusuco are blue because of the extreme cold? They don't even seem to have humanoid facial features.

They're very clearly human, or at least a related species. Judging from the fact that they resemble ice, something that was not in the area prior, they are probably humans affected by Theorick's spell

Oh, I hadn't seen Lusuco villagers in a while. In that case, yea.
