For the past several years, I have been secretly training a small elite group of Detlas guards in the art of aviation. We first attempted jetpacks which were unsuccessful because we weren't able to summon one from our imagination, and unfortunately the same applied for fighter jets. We then took the guards to the olympics which granted them a 5.9% increase in jump height and a 2.7% increase in movement speed. This was groundbreaking progress in comparison to our previous lack of success.

However, these were merely marginal gains. To truly make the Detlas guards fly, we needed to come up with something that would really power up the guards, something that could make them go absolutely flying, and thus after years of scrutiny, I have finally found a way to make the Detlas guards fly.

And thus I present the glorious debut of the flying Detlas guards!

BUT THE ULTIMATE PLOT TWIST MAKES ITS PRESENCE...

After tirelessly spending hours training the Detlas guards to reach their maximum potential, they all started to realise the pain I was going through. In their best efforts to assist me, they comforted me and steered the centre of the training away from themselves and towards me. They knew. They knew that I, as a loyal archer main was about to suffer a horrible loss, a loss so immeasurable that it would be impossible to measure the loss with a ruler - and thus they suggested me to make a recording of my combat potential before the nerf gods release their curse upon the universe, so at the very least, I could have some precious memories to cherish in the worst case scenario that my combat potential is entirely stripped away from me...​

And thus I present to you the final remains of the overpowered archer class in its finest form:

Also I got some inspiration from @Kmaxi 's high quality youtube thumbnails and the way he has presented his recent videos, so I wanted to give it a go myself. Lemme know what y'all think of it ^​

So uh basically, you gotta learn kung fu

Nah for real I used replay mod and shaders for the epic part at the end, and I use a mixture of windows live movie maker and VSDC video editor (free version cos I'm a peasant).

 

From someone who sometimes records stuff, a tip: Get davinci resolve.

It’s free and has lots of cool features, but it eats your processing power and all the features are controlled by trial-and-error, making frame-perfect cuts, delving into absurdly large menus and submenus and inserting random numbers into the fields that pop up.

All the instructions are in sindarin, your audio and video will desync unless you use external software to compress the videos into an acceptable form to avoid instances where the FPS of the video doesn’t match the settings of resolve or varies during the footage and to top it all off, starting it up takes 8 decades and the ”export” button is invisible until you click on everything else.

But it’s a real good editor, I swear

I like how this entire thread went from launching Detlas guards 20 metres in the air to a conversation about video editing xD

 

I want to learn that power too...

Next time try to make them all fly for an hour straight. I'm sure you can make it happen!

 

Imagine if the person on top continued up with escape so the height turned doubled.
