Now my last theory was at best: 100% true, at worst 99% true. But I made ONE fatal mistake; less research and time spent on the theory. I've looked through the timeline and ALL quests to figure out the truth about Shaman.

I previously said that Shamans don't exist which isn't entirely true. Shamans do exist but not all "shamans" are actually shamans. From what I've seen there are three main "types" of shamanism. I've also noticed a weird pattern that most shaman's are in the jungle or bird related.

    The Grook Shamanism
Based on the definition from the school Grookwarts, it's stated that shamanism is a form of nature magic and "Shamanic skills are a lot more direct, man. They take the life from other things and use that to do their stuffs". Basically equivalent exchange. Which I've mainly seen one Shaman use this form. Skylaar. I mean Slykaar. But from what I've seen he uses his nature magic more seriously. From his experiments with slime, it's obvious he uses his powers to manipulate nature and most likely from my understanding using Grook Shamanism. Since we see that he needs sacrifices for his defences and it is also mentioned in the Order of the Grook quest that the teachers says: "Don't be a Slykaar, kiddos. He asked for human sacrifices, but he lived in a jungle, man!".

    The Classic Shamanism
This shamanism is based on real life shamanism. Where they typically use spells to use spiritual magic. We see these primarily in the jungle. We've seen their skill of messing with the spirits of the player and having a deep connection with spiritual things and use their powers to heal. Which is actually what real life shamans typically do! They get a sick person, and put them in a trance-like state and go get advice from spirit mentors to figure out how to heal them.

    The Totem Shamanism
Before I start: I must say that player are the ONLY ones using this form of shamanism. Do not confuse it with the Avos who have a totem pole as that represents their tribe like many other tribes do. Such as the eagle tribe. Now, this one is the most confusing. With the Classic & Grook type they already have a definition and can be explained. But the totems we use aren't. See totems in shamanism seem to be a spiritual connection with a spirit. The player seems to use totem poles which I can see that's what they are meant to be due to the fact they are supposed to look like creatures. The skyseer one seems to be a bird totem while the shaman totem is... a bird but with a human face? These could be a lot of things, well two mainly. A Harpy or a from Egyptian mythology. I would guess the Egyptian mythology as those creatures are strictly spirits... but totem poles don't really exist in Egypt. So my guess is the shaman we play as is a culture with ties to both indigenous north american and ancient Egyptian culture.

I realised I got a bit off topic but in summary: Our player uses totem poles from north american and ancient egyptian culture to channel spiritual magic through the said totem poles.

I realised this also means that our Shaman either comes from... wait!!! Rymek and Almuj, in Almuj is most likely connected to Egypt and... Rymek is the home of those main totem poles, most similar to native american culture. Our Shaman... is unlike the rest and doesn't come from fruma... and instead Rymek & Almuj. It also seems to have it's own language due to the fact the symbols on it don't exactly translate to any symbol only similar which makes sense due to the fact wynnic would've been a popular language nearby.

    About my Previous Theory
That was just the start, see it's not the fact that shamans dont exist, is that there isn't one form of shamanism which is agreed upon. Leading to inaccuracies when it comes to the definition. But one point I made is the fact there is no depressing relik and the fact that shaman came in the darkness update. The depressing relik? Well in shamanism, most the time during spirital practices healing also covers the mind which makes sense that they aren't as depressed! But the fact they came in the darkness update? Well consider this: That update was late which makes sense that they wouldn't of arrived with everyone else (aka from fruma) and the fact the place the shaman originates from is just east of the new place made.

how does archetypes fit into this though. puppets seem weird and effrets are like devils. totems based on desert or dry cultures and bring rain in one upgrade is a strong natural power.
