Hi, I was wondering what the rules are concerning a mini map. And if I can use it, what parts of the mod are prohibited for me to use?

It's really very simple. You may use a mini map as a waypoint guide system, only. That is, the mini map is only to be used as a mapping program, and nothing else. You may not use the radar function of any mini map, under any condition. Doing so is grounds for being banned.

I use a mini map, and in my options, every mob entity turned off, as is the mob radar, itself. I've posted pictures with the mini map visible, there are no mobs showing, because mob radar is off, and there is no problem with using the mini map. So, if you want to use a mini map, it's perfectly OK, as long as mob radar is off. Other players are "mobs" for this definition, too, so make certain that the RADAR is "off".
