Media The Player Is A Homicidal Maniac

So the player is supposed to be this all-around nice guy who helps people with stuff, but sometimes this just isn't the case.
1. In Cluck Cluck, Nohno asks you to take care of Cluckles. You go in, kill Cluckles, and give Nohno his feather.
2. In Shadow of the Beast, Tolem asks you to bring back his cows. You promptly kill all three of them and bring back their body parts.
3. Later on in Shadow of the Beast, you find a giant, a rare creature that should be captured and studied for scientific gain. Obviously, you go ahead and kill it, then return its bones to Dereg.
Conclusion: The player clearly has a problem with his/her murderous tendencies, and probably needs rehabilitation or something.
If anybody has more quests in which the player randomly goes around killing stuff, tell me and I will add them to the list.

At least the Detlas villagers regen fast enough that they don't die (unless of course you're like level 75)

 

I feel bad about these situations, so I "fix" them after the fact. I dropped all the emeralds Bylvis gave me to Drale after the quest, and used arrow storm + a depressing bow to bring the cows back. And cluckles actually one-shot my low level mage, so I had a reason to kill him.

 

Don't forget that one low level quest where you go to get 'proof' that creepers exist in Wynn just so this guy doesn't think he is crazy. After getting a mask, the creepers are totally cool with letting you in their home, but then you have to mercilessly slaughter them to get their gunpowder....

 

What? The gunpowder is an item that spawns on it's own like the Sacchrum in Spider Cave...

 

My friend went in and killed a bunch of them to get the gunpowder... The wiki said they 'dropped' it and it only seemed to spawn if one died...

If we killed them for no reason I feel terrible x-x

Hah, about the Cluckles one.

In Jessica Jones, Kilgrave orders Jessica to "take care of [this woman]", which she interpretes as "kill her". He then calls her out about that. :p

 

The villagers are greedy and corrupt,
the Aldorei citizens are selfless though they appear rather snobby and extreme with the quests.

But anway, Jungle fever? The Illegal Potion Quest? Confused Farmer?

 

1. It was specified to "take care of" Cluckles because he was harassing and scaring the other chickens. It wasn't stated it was the favorite til after Cluckles was killed.
2. That honestly was really stupid, and I had to look up that I needed to kill them.
3. Self defense. That, and, you know it kinda destroyed a few houses and was an obvious terror in the people of Olux's outskirts.

This one is specifically focused on random murders, and it's really more of a joke than a serious thread.

It is also quite possible for the player to have a stem of MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder), seeing as the player seems to fluctuate between various forms of aggressive natures. If this were the case, then honestly I can understand why in some missions, like Cluck Cluck, where you're asked to "take care" of the chicken, your character will revert to killing, since a possible personality could indeed be a homicidal maniac. Or it could be simply anxiety or paranoia from being attacked in the opening sequence's mining cave, making the player think he/she is always in danger and perceiving simple phrases like "take care of" as a call to murder

 

Still, provide a link to my thread for people that are interested in this.

 

2 quests where you kill AN ANIMAL isn't proof the player is a homicidal maniac. Just sayin'
