    Minecraft:
Now, you know how with the Gavel update, there's 4 slots in your inventory for accessories? There's also the fact that you can't fill bottles (that have the Misc. tag on them) with water anymore. Now, the Drought Sand quest wants you to get 24 water bottles and 24 mashed insects. That's 25 slots in your inventory since water bottles don't stack. Water bottles drop from the horse mobs somewhere near the Silverfish Dungeon rather rarely, which means you'll be stuck farming those for a bit. Now, that's one issue.

The other one? That now you only have 29 inventory slots available. So, everyone will at least have a weapon. 28 slots. You kill a mob and they drop emeralds. 27 slots. We won't count in potions for now, assuming you're doing this on Mage and you don't really need potions. A horse since the Stable Story quest is only 2 levels above this quest. 26 slots. A random equipment drop from mobs? 25 slots. Now throw in some random equipment drop or something from a mob and you're stuck unable to finish the quest. Note that I did NOT include potions, and classes other than Mage will probably have them. Basically, doing this quest on any class other than mage and you'll have a heck of a time finishing it.

Honestly, unless you substitute the water bottles with something that stacks and retexture & rename said thing to "Water Bottle", or some other drastic measure, there's no way the 2nd issue is going to get solved. The first issue also affects the Underwater quest, and I highly doubt new players can go all the way to Alumj to kill a horse (I think they were called Camels) and get a bottle from said "camels" without dying.

And there you go, a random rant on the disadvantages of the Expansion! Lemme go and attempt to finish this Drought Sand quest. See you in a month.

EDIT: Well, I'll try to finish the quest with 1 water bottle. The Underwater quest thing still stands though.

Drought Sand only requires 1 water bottle, not 24.

Yeah... It's been like this for a while. Try the quest with 1 bottle and see what happens.

It's actually just 1 water bottle. There was an error/typo with the quest book that seems to not have been fixed yet.

I believe it takes all of your water bottles, no matter how many you have, but it works with only one. It at least works with 24 or 1, but I've never tested the other numbers so I'm assuming.

I'm pretty sure mirajhall is correct. When I completed the quest, it asked for 24 bottles, but some kindly soul told me that I only needed one. And it worked!
That said, it is a very tedious quest...

It says 24, but you can do it with less. It will take away how ever many you have, but only 1 is needed

Well, at least you'll have a lifetime supply. Or a few lifetimes' supplies. :)
Nothing like a useless bottle, eh?

Actually, the most annoying quest is "The Ultimate Weapon". I did get a laugh out of it though...
