So I want to start off saying that this is not another one of my "oh, the game's logic is wrong" threads. This is trying to make aware of a problem.

I wanted to put this in general suggestions, but it was more info than suggestion. I will get to a suggestion later on however.

So. The lore. This has been confirmed by several mods (Either @Abandonedbank @Tantibus or @Lotem. It was 2 of those 3 I think). This has been talked about in comments, but no one has made an actual thread regarding it. So think of this as both an info thread and a suggestion.

So. We were told that the lore we know of Bob, The Official Storyline, and (perhaps) Twain is incorrect.

We were told these lores before the wipe, and much has changed since then. Some examples of this are the villagers and the portal. The official storyline says the portal opened at 100 years ago, and the villagers came 10 years ago. What we now know to be true is that the portal opened 1000 years ago and the villagers came 100 years ago.

What does this mean for us?

Well the Bob lore is something we heavily rely on when we talk about Bob. So that one would need to be fixed as soon as possible.

The official storyline is like super important to all theories (and non theories) so that would also need to be fixed.

The twain lore seems unaffected.

Suggestion part!

So, as you know @Grian is the main lore guy. All though the wiki is player-run, I feel like he should go and edit the storyline area. He knows best what's going on.

He also is the one who posted the Bob and Twain lore on the forums before the wipe. So if he could go and post NEW ones, with correct info, that would be a fix to that.

Of coarse all the updates come first. So I feel like these changed should come out at the same part as the fallow-up update. That would mean the dev's can take their time doing the in-game bug fixes and stuff, and update the lore when they do the next planned big update.

EDIT: Never tag an Admin in your thread, even if it is important. I get the feeling you're doing it because you feel as if they will reveal a new province or something if they do happen to read it.

I have been told that it is ok to tag admins if the thread is directed specifically for them. This thread was directed specifically at the one who made the lore, so I tagged him. And I do not feel like anything will be revealed, I made this thread to alert people of this problem, and to suggest how it could be fixed. No other reason.

As for you second point, are you kidding me? People bump their own posts all the time!

 

Whoever said that was wrong. You never even suppose to tag mods. Tagging an admin is like going against sans, because your goma have a bad time.

 

Are you sure? Cuz I have also seen examples when other people have tagged salted, and he came on, answered, and did not say one harsh word on the subject.

So trust me, I would not be doing anything that would get me in trouble

(Plus a mod has commented on this thread and not said anything about it. I think they would be the first to say if it was wrong)

Anyways, Lotem isn't a mod as of the time I am posting this (Yes I'm a Hoovy), soooo... Mods ≠ GMs ≠ Builders. At least fact check your own questions if your gonna be calling out a well known incorrect part of the lore.

So... This thread really is just a collection of things people sort of know generally. I sort of feel like there is some underlying reason to you making all these threads on everything you find, but I don't want to get another thread locked so I'll keep this post hot o my standard of quality.

If you wish to go back end edit every single piece of lore you can find, go right a head and do that. I don't have access to GM docs, and quest dialogue that I can change, or even screenshots of the quest, nor do I defer to the Wiki to help me with quests. My point is that you should make the change. Show you actually want something to happen. I hate to be that guy but...

I truly do not understand. The first part makes it sound like your are against me, the second part soundly like you are with me.

But I don't think you understand the point of the thread. The point is to let people know that this is wrong. It has been confirmed to be wrong in the comments so several threads (Not just by lotem) and I wanted to make a thread to raise awareness.

Now. I can't just "change the lore". I am not a admin, only a theorist. But I can suggest that the person who made the lore (Grian) goes and fixes it to align with what has been confirmed to be true. Both by staff on the forums and in game (ragni's mail, the elf quests)

I really wish you could clarify what you are saying. And I would appreciate if you did not ask people to lock a perfectly honest, valid, and productive thread...
