The Legends of Wynn --=-- Book 2 (Link to be added.)

--=-- Chapter 1 --=--​

This is the story of a mage named Charles. This man has been dead for far beyond a million years, this is his story.



On a dark night a bank in Ragni was raided by an assassin who had been hired by an unknown enemy. However the invisibility spell he has cast upon himself ran out of time and the assassin had to bolt for the exit with only a stack and a half of liquid emeralds.​

On his way out he set fire to the building for a distraction burning it down in the process. Three soldiers of Ragni blocked off the assassin on his way past but not before he could drop down a smoke bomb and strike one down with a multihit.​

Charles, who tries to be helpful, decided he should intervene as he shot down meteors on the assassin who was causing havoc on the street. The assassin was injured so he ran behind a house but the soldiers of Ragni surrounded the location.​

The next few days were just normal days, studying magic, clearing a farm of spiders, identifying items, and so on. That was, until he got a knock on his door at exactly 1:32 PM. It was the soldiers of Ragni along with the general who goes by Drake.​

Drake said, "Hello Charles, no need to panic, we want to thank you for the help taking down the assassin about 132 hours ago. We would like to invite you to the Wynn army."​

As Charles liked to help whenever he could he happily accepted the opportunity. When he did respond Drake said,

"Ok, the reason we ask is you are a powerful mage, far more powerful than any we have seen before. Well, not yet anyway, your power is bound but we need your help. A rebellion is rising to take down the kingdom and we think that assassin was one of them. The bank was burnt down in the attack and that may be just the first step."

"What should I do?" asked Charles. Drake with,

"The assassin is being held in the prison but he won't speak as to where the base is. Do you have any spell books that could make him?"

Charles did have a spell so he said, "Yes, I'll be there." and went to the dungeons. When he got there the assassin and asked,

"Why are you here? What do you want from me?"​

Charles then just said,​

"Not much" and read a scroll to make him speak. Once he finished he asked Drake,

"What now" With a response of, "Take this scroll to write down the location and go to the location. Take the base out and we'll send own men to clean up."

After a night of rest Charles decided he'd better set off on his quest so he left Ragni through the North exit to head to the jungle.​

--=-- Chapter 2 --=--​

The book said that the location was in the Dern Jungle so Charles decided to go through a pass he knew about. To get there he'd need to pass the pigman ravine though but that wasn't much of a problem for a mage of his level.​

He could blast them away with just a basic damage spell and if he did get hit he'd just use a healing spell to regenerate. When he got to the gate he was stopped by some guards. He was told the pass was for trusted members of the kingdom only so he had to go the long way.

Due to that he found a way out of the ravine and passed the door of time. After a while he saw a relic shrine and decided to check it out. He went over and found relic guardians which were easily defeated.​

Most of the quest was walking and Charles decided to take a break at Nesaak before he'd head into the jungle. On the way to a inn he heard people talking about a raid on the Almuj bank that had happened.

The following day when he woke up he saw some shady people heading into a cave. He followed them into the cave and saw them turn over a few dozen stacks of liquid emeralds to a figure with a black hood covering it's face, mage of dark magic.

While they were handing over items they said that the raid was successful so Charles assumed they were the ones that attacked the Nesaak bank. Charles knew he'd have to take them down at some point too but he waited and watched them talk to get a better idea of what was going on.

He could hear one say that the location may be in risk as some have started to trace the trail of crimes back to their area. Another said something about Ragni sending a powerful mage after them.​

Most of the information wasn't useful to the task at hand but Charles stayed until the end just in case. When they ended it the mage teleported away. At that point Charles just out and shot a spell at the first person who was a warrior and a ice spell at the second who was an archer.

The archer shot a bomb arrow but Charles teleported out of the way. The warrior used a war scream to shield the archer and himself from the attacks but that didn't stop Charles' meteor spell from knocking him unconscious.

The archer shot a arrow storm but it was evaded with a teleport and the archer was frozen with an ice spell along with the warrior to hold them until the other Wynn recruits could clean up.

On a desk Charles found a note, it said to get the items to the main base with the current date so the plan could be put into action.​

"Better start walking." said Charles as he prepared to set off to the jungle.

The walk to the Great Overpass was nothing special. A few monsters attacked but died in an instant. When Charles got there he decided it was best just to charge through to avoid the monsters. He teleported across and when on the other side he'd decided he had enough time left in the day to go into the Dern Jungle and scout out a way into the base.​

After a bit more walking and a few more monsters slain Charles got there fairly "Soon" (TM) and walked to the exact cords on his scroll. When he got there the scroll magically changed to say another objective.

"Finish it..."

The Wynn army had different morals for sure but Charles knew he had to finish it there, no time to go and rest a night, the plan would be put into action tonight after all.

Charles had to finish it, he just had to. So he looked around and he saw the base. A large group of enemies were there so he decided to take a stealth approach until he heard what they were saying.

"Today we summon the fallen deity! Today he will rise again! Among the sleep he had fallen to Wynn! Among the living he seeks revenge! He will thanks us greatly for defeating Wynn and bringing him back."

That was followed with a spell Charles had never heard before. He knew it wasn't good though. He had to stop them so he shot down a meteor on the one speaking, the dark mage! The meteors were blocked and all eyes turned.

Charles shot down upon the crowd around the mage to take out the weak ones. No time to be fancy, no time to joke, he had to end it fast if what the mage said was true and lethal force was needed.

There were few left but the spell was ending soon, he could feel it, he had to take out the mage but there was a force field spell around it. Charles shot down dozens of meteors in one spot to weaken the force field and it worked. The spell's defense shattered.

It was too late though, the spell was finished and the deity awakes with vengeance in mind. The thefts finally made sense. They didn't want the money, they wanted to ruin the economy and make people fight themselves just to get what they needed to survive.

These people didn't want to take over Wynn, they wanted to destroy it! With the spell finished the mage could turn attention to Charles. This battle would be a true test. This is the beginning of the end.


--=-- Chapter 4 --=--


"It's too late, he will rise. If I fall to you he will destroy you," said the mage as she shot a meteor. Charles dodged and shot back a ice snake. He realized he was wasting time but he needed to take out the mage first before more trouble was caused.

"You can't avoid this, you may win this fight but you won't win the war. When he seeks vengeance he gets it," said the mage who teleported out of the ice and shot back with a ice snake of her own. Charles shot another ice snake to collide with the other and stop it.

Charles decided to end it so he could do something of more use and shot a meteor into a nearby lake. The water soaked everything and Charles shot one last ice snake at the mage using all his power freezing the mage in her tracks.

When Charles was done securing victory he decided he'd better head to Troms to access his bank which had a Ragni scroll in it incase an emergency ever happened.

While on his way there he noticed much more monsters spawning and the land getting destroyed block by block. When he got to Troms he saw the city in ruin. He ran over to the bank's location to see if a chest was still intact and it was. He opened it and took out a scroll to Ragni.

Charles used it but when he got back it wasn't what it should have been. He saw a swarm of a million monsters attacking and killing innocents. He shot meteors to try to get rid of them after he teleported on top of a house that was still partially intact but the amount seemed endless. Ragni and Troms were the strongest kingdoms in Wynn but with them down the rest would fall easily.

Charles started to head to Detlas as he knew the trading city would be where the rebellion was. They didn't want any survivors so stopping the airships and boats would be a main part in the plan.

The journey to Detlas was tough as the monsters were much stronger than normal but being a master of magic Charles made it through. Along the way, Charles found a group of green monsters, creepers. They were though to be myths but with the apocalypse they had came out from where ever they were.

They were odd but still defeated by a few meteors. What was hard to beat though was the monster at Detlas. As a guard of the Castle of Legends said,

"Creepers? Ha! It's like saying an ender dragon will attack Detlas!"

A man once said that, turns out it happened. In the Dern Jungle it turns out not only the Deity was released but also all of the forces of Dern. An ender dragon did attack Detlas and Charles was the only one who could beat it. Most, if not all on Wynn's forces are gone and Charles was the only one left.

Charles shot down meteors at the dragon but they were missed. An enderman, another creature of myths attacked from behind but teleported before Charles could attack it.

Charles shot a ice snake into the air at the dragon and hit a wing but the dragon breathed fire upon Charles. Charles tried to shoot more ice but the fire was too hot so he teleported away and shot it with a meteor.

The dragon fell and lashed it's tale knocking over building on top of Charles but he teleported out and used a healing spell. He needed to save the world somehow but he couldn't do it while under a barrage of fire balls so he shot down dozens of meteors on the dragon while it was still down to end it.

After that Charles decided he'd need a place to hide for the time being as nothing could stop the horde but then he had a vision.

With the province ending he had a vision, three beings, a cow, and a creeper in a space outfit, and a British guy with a red shirt. Time seemed frozen, but then he heard a voice in his head,

"A battle of deities as humans would call it. One of three rebelled and made a cult. Followers worshipped and needed sacrifice. The world fell to it's creator. The world struck back though, and sealed the deity away. Now it is back again and you are the one we have chosen. Now, go back, fight."
(One cryptic message for people to decipher if you feel up to it.)

The chosen one. Charles. He felt more powerful suddenly. Suddenly, he knew everything, every spell, every tactic, everyone's weakness, all enemies' strengths. Today he must fight for the province, no they won't stop there, he must fight for the world.

In the distance he saw a giant figure over Mountain Wynn. The final step. The final destination.

"There has to be a spell for this." Charles thought as he thought about the knowledge he had obtained and started heading to Mount Wynn. When he got there he knew he didn't have a way to be stealthy as the deity always knew where he was.

"I've been waiting. Do you, a mortal, think you can stand against me, a god of the realm?" said the deity. Charles knew he couldn't in a fight but he had a plan.

"Why the silence? You will die today and you know it so why wait? I made this world! Every block! EVERY SOUL! THEY ARE ALL MINE AND I WILL CLAIM YOURS TOO IN TIME!" said the deity again as he struck down lightning on Charles. Charles then healed and shot meteors to make it look like he was trying.

Then the deity then tossed a chunk of the mountain off at Charles but Charles blocked the attack with a force field and then faked running away.

The deity grabbed Charles and brought him into the sky to toss him into the ground for a final attack but Charles had a different idea. When brought high enough Charles used the spell he was looking for earlier. Due to receiving knowledge from the other deities in his vision he knew about this one's weakness to psychological attacks.

Charles swapped his mind with the deity. Now Charles was the one in control. He tossed his old body down into the ground destroying it along with the old deity's mind. Charles had no hope of getting his old life back but he had saved the world, it was worth it.

He was happy, at least until he found out about what had happened. The elder god had caused too much of a rip in space time. In moments the universe would cease to exist. Charles couldn't save it either.

It wasn't all bad though, he befriended the other deities and once the old universe ended a new spark of life appeared, [SIZE=5]Charles made a new, superior universe. Now the old one is just a legend, the legend of Wynn.[/SIZE]​
