SPOILER The Inconsistency!

So, I'm trying to do a TimeLine of all events that occur in WynnCraft, and for two hours, I was wracking my brain over two important points of lore: Detlas being built and Selchar being built. In the Craftmas Chaos Quest, Selchar was being built 40 years ago. That and according to the Sister City quest, Selchar was the inspiration for Detlas.
However, a weapon that was added with Gavel has changed that.

This says Detlas is at least 60 years old, which wouldn't make sense because if a city was built 30 years ago, it cant be the inspiration for a city built 60 years ago.

So, there's a source for the inconsistency, from 3 things.
1. Craftmas Chaos is wrong (cant really be tho, cause Jardod couldnt be alive 30 years in the future then)
2. The weapon is wrong.
3. Sister City is wrong.

I personally believe Sister City is wrong (Detlas was a trading city built when the Villagers and the Humans came to agreement), but who knows. What do you all think?

Edit: It was brought to my attention was built 40 years ago. Still doesn't change much.

 

If I remember right, it has been said that Craftmas Chaos was incorrect when it came to things such as this. It probably needs to be updated to be correct.

 

What if YOU were the inconsistency :O Lol jk perhaps the GMs will have to change some things with the quest dialogue just ignore the whole thing XD

 

The only thing Selchar inspired in Detlas was the hourglass. From this, we can assume that this is the timeline.

1. Detlas is built >60 years ago.
2. Detlas founding building burns down 60 years ago, creating Detlas' Legacy.
3. Selchar is built 30 years ago, and had an hourglass.
4. A similar hourglass is build inside the already existing Detlas <30 years ago, inspired by Selchar.

So yes, JPM. YOU are in fact, wrong.

 

• Lil: Fortunately, Detlas was built based on an already existing city, named Selchar.

This means ALL of Detlas is based on ALL of Selchar. So Sister City may be wrong.

 

Perhaps Detlas existed before Selchar's creation, but just as a trading post of sorts, and didn't before a proper city until after Selchar was built?

Edit, woops, did get what you said now, but idk, Detlas was built as a large city. And 30 years then to build it?

Yet it has more features than any other town except Cinfras:
Potion Merchant
LE Merchant
Bank
Several Quest NPCs
Barracks
Identifier
Item Traders
Airship Station

This makes Detlas a MAJOR trading city both with the lore and with actual players.
There's also a "size doesn't matter" joke somewhere in here .3.

Rodoroc has everything except the airship, and will have quests once they are added...

 

Perhaps but you can agree that Detlas is definitely Wynn Province's most major city

 

its pretty boring as a city, the only thing important about her is that she has an le merchant and that it is smacked in the middle of the fucking province, as a city its kinda dull. its perfectly square and small compared to other cities (its also flat).

 

Well it was built with help from villagers, so that could explain a lot

It would, but that would mean whatshisface from Craftmas Chaos is 120. Which, while still a possibility, doesnt make sense to me
